Two of my childhood heros. The music does not fit with the video. it detracts from the moments of remembrance that we should give to two motor sport legends
oh man seriously... the thought of a tribute is nice but that music is just the hit man. Oh my god, please shoot me now. i mean like it's worse than christmas carols. What was that guy thinking. at least put some piano song.
yes pretty shit music i agree but if someone can t take it just look at others videos.I M VERY GLAD THERE IS YOUTUBE ON THE CONTRARY OF SOMEBODY ELSE THAT COME ON YUOTUBEEEEEEE WATCHES VIDEOS AND SAYS" IS BECAMING SHIT !IF I WERE IN YOUTUBE I PUT YOU OUT FROM THE SITE .THIS IS FREE AND IS GREAT AND YOU SHULD JUST GO SOMEWHERE ELSE WHERE YOU CAN APRECIATE
Thank you youtube for fucking up great videos due to copyright crap, youtube suck more and more everyday. We shoud all go somewhere else with our videos to a site without this kind of bullshit.
"Calling all Grand Prix F1 buffs"!!!I have the following "genuine" autographs that I may be prepared to part with for the right amount..They include: Ronnie Peterson(2wice)Tom Pryce(2wice)Mark Donahue, Graham Hill, James Hunt, Patrick Depailler, Jody Scheckter, John Watson, Carlos Reutumann, Arturo Merzario, Brett Lunger, Jackie Stewart (2wice) Ken Tyrell, Lord Hesketh, Lela Lombardi (Female F1 star)..Plus many more! Only serious offers please? All autographs in the same book, but can seperate..
they do direct the air over the drivers, with the little "windscreen" at the front(if you watched jenson button on top gear you know what i mean" and aswell, if they put galss(clear plastic more sensible, glass allthough science has improved alot on makeing it hard its still breakable i think)how would they breath, considering that if they left any cracks, it would be directing the air in there, and slowing the car down. so theyd have to pump air in there, which would use weight, so slow em down
i was thinking about, what you could change to increase the performance of the aerodymanics... and i came up with this: couldnt they make a smooth roof from the little glas thing up to the roll cage? i guess that would be more aerodynamic than that little gap between driver and steering wheel... or not? xD well... if you understood my english, comment :)
i have also been thinking about this subject (i want to become an f1 aerodynamycist when i grow up) you know how the teams have shark fins? well i thought that they could have sort of 3 sharkfins one on each side of the airbox, connected via a spoiler of some sort. this would straighten airflow over the rear wing more and allow extra downforce . . .
Very good shots here. I can't separate them too much either, both were the quickest of their eras, both were integral, gentlemanly (given the way they were happy to follow their team-mates home at the expense of their own championship hopes) - although I have to say Ronnie was better at controlling his emotions.
Both would have been worthy world champions - and the sport is poorer for their loss - no drivers like these guys exist today!
Everything does not need to be video. Good music. Interesing pictures. the Lotus. And that "experimental" six wheel car (he he he), why not just fix the balance and widen the front wheels?!??? And just because of that these are interesting photos.
Gilles was a great driver...i feel sorry for his family, his son is good too...,i'm a fan of Senna's,but i like the way Gilles was drive late 70's early 80's...those cars was so hard to drive...
My two F-1 idols! However, the Peterson's section of the video has some pictures which, well, are not Peterson -- there is a Theodore car picture and Roger Williamson's crash is shown. However, nice tribute.
Peterson on the McLaren 1980 car would be very nice to watch. Villeneuve, after the San Marino GP problem with Didier Pironi, was said to be in talks with Williams, but I am sure he would be the champion in 1982.
I agree with the fact that Peterson and Villeneuve were the "fastest non-champions", but I feel like You forgot François Cévert... He was a "fastest non-champion" like them
I believe that both Cevert and Villeneuve would've gone onto been world champions without a doubt. Ronnie however, would probably have to switch teams to achieve this. Then again, in those days top teams were swapping regular drivers like anything. Could've drove for Brabham, Williams, Renault, even Ferrari! R.I.P.
You're right - Ronnie would have been world champion, but not in 1979. For him to win, he would have had to leave Lotus where he was the #2 driver - a role that he filled with honour and skill. For '79, he was signed to drive for McLaren, but as it turned out, they were not the premier team on the field that year. But, given a decent team in '80, like Williams or Brabham, or McLaren in '82 or '83, Ronnie would have been champ for sure. A pity - farväl Ronnie!
