Hoagy Carmichael probably rolled over in his grave when when KR started singing this song. But who knows, Hoagy might have had a smile on his face. Not my favorite version of this tune, but I say Kudos to Keith Richards for having the kahunas to do it!

@philh37 Actually Keith (in an interview that's here on YT somewhere) says he got a call from Hoagy Carmichael who had heard Keith was working up the song (he's been singing it since the 1970's). Carmichael said he was very happy with Keith's take on it. Now, he's not around to deny it, but I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Carmichael and like most, I can attest that he was a VERY gracious man... Hardly the kind to "roll over his grave" at a sincere interpretation of his music.

Although I am partial to the Stones, I have to say this is the best version of this song that I've heard. Sure Nora Jones has a sweeter voice, etc., etc., but the combination of Keith's guitar work and the vocal deliver by Keith and backups, gives this version a blues quality all the others lack. Great!
