im so sad i heard rumors that seirra left and i heard chelsea sing and she is HORRIBLE why sierra why i still wunna see it though and i think drew seeley will do good but im eighteen and still wunna see dis lol but sierra has a beautiful voice and she left right after i heard the little mermaid was on broadway :(

@Bellacullen6621 sierra is amazing in this- but the show closed, and she got the opportunity to do love never dies, work with andrew lloyd webber, and become a part of the phantom legacy. personally i would have made the same choice she did.

sierra i miss you you are the best ariel and the hearth and light on the stage the show is so boring without her .i heared chelsea and drew they were ok but their voices arent so good and chelsea was so bad singin beyond my wildest dreams sean is much better and sierra is and will always be the best ariel even better than jodi

no no no! Jodi IS Ariel and no one can be better then Jodi. I agree the Sierra is better then Chelsea but NO WAY IN A MILLION YEARS is Sierra better the Jodi. Just my opinon though.

Chelsea is fantastic! Her voice is lovely, she if full of energy and passion, and she is clearly having such a great time up there with Drew. (And I DID see Sierra and Sean in the show months ago.) Fantastic!

@titanicwicked All shows that aren't massive hits close after a time. Eventually they go on tour or go to regional and/or repertory theaters. Shows are expensive to maintain, and in this American economy, it is next to impossible to maintain the price of seats + production + people having no money.... Touring shows and rep theater are affordable.

Besides, it's not like Wicked is the greatest show to have ever graced Broadway. I'd be more worried if the actual Broadway staples closed. :p

@titanicwicked It's very expensive to put on theatre productions - that's why most theatres have to charge a decent sum of money for people to come see it. I'm not surprised in this recession that a lot less people can afford paying the money needed to go see a lot of the shows on Broadway and thus many shows can't stay open and have to close.

Unfortunately Drew Seeley and Chelsea Stock just aren't as strong vocally (or acting-wise) as Sierra and Sean. Saw the show last night... it was OK, but if the leads aren't up to it, it all falters a bit.
