  • Sinatra soon after he started recording for the new Capital Records label, when he came of age and moved away from the Crosby type crooner; with that amazing association with Nelson Riddle; and a most beautiful ballad. I remember I bought that early album "This is Sinatra" in the 1950s (sorry, I am still alive and still enjoying good things), and this outstanding track will never dull, because it is still new and exquisite.

  • sometimes i wish i was born around the 1920s, and 50s around when everything was good

  • At 0:41 Frank looks a tad bit like Sean Connery.

  • Frank sounds flawless on this recording. The greatest performer ever!

  • 4 people must be deaf ! ! !

or maybe they though that the dislike button is the download button

  • There will be many copyists but for it to be authentic one has to capture the whole era in which these legends lived.

It's not JUST the music, it was also the lifestyle.

As jazz guitarist Pat Martino said recently "You can teach someone the tunes of the old days parrot fashion but you can't recapture the atmosphere from the '50s"

We can line up all the Buble's or Harry Connick's but it's not the same.

  • Nick Twisp & Sheeny :)

  • Frank Sinatra is truly wonderful. I especially respect him, because he always kept working. He has such a beautiful, mellow voice. Also, a great actor.

One that springs to mind is 'High Society'. If you're into musicals, and haven't seen it - do try (he doesn't have the lead role though).

  • @Alexa5188 I completely agree with you, Alexa5188.

  • @mvneste This is Sinatra was the first Sinatra album that I bought. To this day, it has remained one of my favorites,

  • Wonderful sense of life in these lyrics. Charming with a tender sensibility.

Our current culture is not worthy of this melody.

  • YOUTH IN REVOLT

  • i bent frank sinatras grandaughter over his piano

  • Nick Twisp bought me here..the one from the book..not the horrible movie

  • As good as it gets. TY catman 916 for posting.

  • This song was my mom and dads song, they met in 1955.Well my father died in 1978 ,mom never remarried this song stayed on her heart until her death ,March 12 ,2011, my sisters and I placed my fathers ashes in her grave and on her stone it reads," MY ONE AND ONLY LOVE "

  • @jojostudrock

Wow how beautiful. You brought tears to my eyes.

  • Quando si parla di grandi artisti c'è sempre di mezzo il sangue Italiano.... Grande Frank! Orgoglio Italo-Americano :)

  • love him <3

  • My one and only love... Angela!

  • @sweetness34CB are you a girl yourself? :P

  • @jayah2007 totally agreed

  • The consummate singer.

  • Very Good, but check out Frank's pal Dean Martin's version of the same song.

  • Steve is what he is today because of Frank..it is but an honor for him to become just as great or even greater..don't be so offended people.

  • All these comments about Seven Rossitto are a great amount of disrespect to the true legend here, Frank Sinatra.

  • no dislikes:)

  • I think Steven Rossitto ate Frank Sinatra and I dig it!

  • Sinatra, what a legend.

  • Listening to Steven Rossitto and then to Sinatra just shows how good Sinatra was. Rossitto is amazing, especially for his age, but Sinatra's version is perfect. I prefer the piano in Rossitto's version to the strings in this one, but Frank is the better singer. Maybe not for long, though.

  • @ofaaron totally agree, i reckon a single piano is always the way to go. simple music but it showcases the skill of the singer.

  • Rossitto is good, but he's no Sinatra - don't forget that.

  • You fuckers. What have you done?!?

  • SO IT BEGINS... THE GREAT SHITSTORM OF OUR TIME

  • Youth in Revolt brought me here.

  • @codyisnice

    wtf?

  • 2:30 Sorry, Steven Rossitto can't do that.

  • Where Steven Rossitto can sing notes, Sinatra can actually sing the words; he can perform a song. For all of you that don't know, they're called dynamics. The way the song swells, decrescendos, and flows. Sinatra's got dynamics down, and gives the song emotion and life. Rossitto's amazing, don't get me wrong, but without years of more practice he doesn't beat the one and only Frank Sinatra.

  • @WorstWaffles Young Steven Rossitto has only just turned 17, give him another 30 or 40 years, he'll learn those dynamics. We need people like Steven Rossitto, because otherwise you just end up with brain dead music from the likes of Justin Bieber.

  • @jayah2007 Mhm. However, I find Bieber to be quite talented. Insanely overrated, yes, but talented regardless. The expansion of the media has made it so that people with real talent do indeed get recognized. Not as much as they should, and of course it always depends on the circumstances, but definitely more than they would if there weren't as much media coverage everywhere. I mean, Youtube made Bieber famous, and yet without Youtube, I wouldn't know who Rossito is.

  • @WorstWaffles I 100% agree with you, but it's obvious that the people who are saying Sinatra doesn't have anything on Rossito are only joking around. Sinatra is a legend and this kid is only a beginner. Who knows, maybe his incredible voice will take him to Sinatra's level one day.

  • @xXxFreeSoftwarexXx Oh yeah hahah. I gave the comment a thumbs up, too, because it actually made me laugh out loud. And I hope Rossitto does go far; that would be great! Today's generation needs more good music to go with its talent.

  • Steven Rossitto is not better than the 75 album Frank Sinatra i hate to break it to you all!!!!!

  • steven rossitto is better

  • Hey, this Sinatra guy is pretty good. If he keeps practicing, I mean. He could really go somewhere.

    Still, he's no Steven Rossitto.

  • @WatchFamilyTVcom

I'd give you a million likes if I could.

  • @tincel1372 :D TY!!

    GO STEVEN!

  • Comment removed

  • @WatchFamilyTVcom LOL. Quite a contrast. Sinatra is SOOOOOOOO much smoother.

  • @WatchFamilyTVcom

Steve whateverthefuck has nothing on Sinatra. Don't try and be cute. Nobody could match Frank's voice or attitude towards life. I've heard the kid and he's very good. But he won't keep up with the times, especially in America. People care about image more than voice and I'm sorry to say but he looked immensely overweight. He'll get up for a bit, but he won't last. And he's far too similar to Sinatra to be considered his own artist. He's more talent than me, but still no Frank

  • @Plaidification Dude. Relax. It's not a contest.

  • @Plaidification Music is pretty serious business, I know.

  • @WatchFamilyTVcom sinatra<rossitto<STING

  • @WatchFamilyTVcom I think it's hard for him to practice when he's dead. Still Frank is a legend and will always be.

  • @Rexius95 Obviously a joke..xDDD

  • @WatchFamilyTVcom you're awesome!!11!1!

  • @WatchFamilyTVcom relax..."this sinatra guy" is a legent. it's not just about his voice, he's frank sintara that everybody in the whole world is talking about. your comment is hilarious...

  • @josephineee92 ಠ_ಠ Not sure if trolling, or just retarded

  • @asimsinthehouse Your comment cracked me up. Nicely done.

  • @WatchFamilyTVcom isn't it the other way around?

  • @WatchFamilyTVcom Wow are you being sarcastic or do you think Rossitto is better than Sinatra?

  • @WatchFamilyTVcom is this sarcasm because hes dead. and im ganna check out steven Rossitto now. Frank will always be my favourite.

  • this song is soo refreshing... :)

  • This is so beautiful! I love it

  • Esta canción te lleva de vuelta ..... creció escuchando esta canción por la radio .... pedazo favorito de mis padres

  • THANK YOU........ for posting this..... one of my BIG Sinatra favourites.
