I will concur that there is not yet proof of a specific part of the DNA that affects sexual orientation, however the majority of the scientific community is in agreement that the cause is more greatly related to biological factors as opposed to environmental factors. The majority of psychological associations in the country also agree with this.
I do believe yes, that there can be a genetic predisposition to homosexuality, but it only manifests itself when coupled with the environmental factor. Much of the scientific information is retrieved and analyzed after the orientation change has occured. Neurological changes in the person have occured which may show indicators for homoesexuality, but there is not yet proof that those indicators were present at birth.
Yes but saying that "the" environmental factor is a "missing emotional male bond" is not accurate. That particular factor is not consistent with every gay individual and certainly not every gay man (my father and I are very close and always were).
There may be a small environmental factor yes, but it plays a very minute role and scientists simply acknowledge the presence of generic environmental factors, but have not found the definitive one.
You need proof to state something so definitively.
I found it startling that my best friend and his oldest brother are both gay and both were rejected by their father as children, yet their middle brother who was the accepted son is not gay. I know that is anecdotal, but it is also very convincing. Also, my next door neighbors growing up are both gay men who had a distant, mean, cold father, and overbearing mother. In my personal experience, I find it alarming how both of these families fit the stereotype for environmental factors.

I will concur that there is not yet proof of a specific part of the DNA that affects sexual orientation, however the majority of the scientific community is in agreement that the cause is more greatly related to biological factors as opposed to environmental factors. The majority of psychological associations in the country also agree with this.

I do believe yes, that there can be a genetic predisposition to homosexuality, but it only manifests itself when coupled with the environmental factor. Much of the scientific information is retrieved and analyzed after the orientation change has occured. Neurological changes in the person have occured which may show indicators for homoesexuality, but there is not yet proof that those indicators were present at birth.

Yes but saying that "the" environmental factor is a "missing emotional male bond" is not accurate. That particular factor is not consistent with every gay individual and certainly not every gay man (my father and I are very close and always were).
There may be a small environmental factor yes, but it plays a very minute role and scientists simply acknowledge the presence of generic environmental factors, but have not found the definitive one.
You need proof to state something so definitively.

I found it startling that my best friend and his oldest brother are both gay and both were rejected by their father as children, yet their middle brother who was the accepted son is not gay. I know that is anecdotal, but it is also very convincing. Also, my next door neighbors growing up are both gay men who had a distant, mean, cold father, and overbearing mother. In my personal experience, I find it alarming how both of these families fit the stereotype for environmental factors.

But one doesn't have to be religious to see that it is this monolithic ideology inherent in the homosexual agenda that is at the heart of not only this, but also when Larry Craig was likewise destroyed. Whereas those who are in lockstep, like Barney Frank, are protected from any media scrutiny about their peccadilloes, not to mention using their sexual orientation as a weapon to silence anyone who criticizes them.

So is Barney Frank. The only difference is that Frank is a far-left liberal Democrat who is 100% behind the radical gay agenda that is Marxist in nature as well as anti-family and anti-morality, plus his using his sexual orientation to silence any and all critics of his far-left politics. So was Gerry Studds. So is Jim McGreevey, the ex-New Jersey Governor. It only matters to you if they DON'T fall into lockstep with the PC liberal-left agenda.

Evidently, you are likewise a leftist libertine who thinks that all gays and lesbians should fall into lockstep with the Marxist GLAAD / GLSEN / etc. homosexual agenda (anti-family, anti-G-d, anti-morality). I don't see you saying, "Barney Frank is homosexual" etc., etc., because Frank is a liberal Democrat. It evidently matters to you about Haggard because Haggard had "the wrong views." This proves that the Left's tolerance of gays is only limited to the "We're Here and We're Queer" types.
