@litor109: Get a weapon with "Zero Monsters" (I dont know, if that is correct, because i play the German version and translated it word by word ^^).

You can either win one in the battle against Geos Geyno at Yevon Temple Baaj (just reset the fight over and over again, until you got one) or it can be build with 30 Purifying Salts, a rare steal item from the soldier-like fiends at Zanarkand Dome. You also get 99 of em, when you catch enough monsters to get "Fafnir" at the monster arena.

yes! i finally did it! =D i realized after about 15 or 20 flashes, i was conditioned to press X as soon as there was a flash without even thinking lol. it really helps to mute the volume =D

That being about two strikes per 10 seconds... This method ought to take one 16-17 minutes to get to 200 strikes.

2. Mute your sound, it helps to concentrate.

3. Equip weapon with No Encounters.

4. Every 20 dodges write on a papper.

5. Do 20 dodges more, just to be sure you've dodged enough.

Here's a tip: When you press the button makes sure YOU DON'T TAP IT, when you press down just hold it and you'll dodge them every single time, then get back into position and repeat above

My record is 161, but since I got that, I can't do it at all. The closest I got was 108, but I keep getting hit. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can make this easier? It seems like every time I try the lightning will eventually break pattern so that I can't dodge the second one.

@4tehhorde The lightning always comes at the same interval here - past 108 times, and 161, and beyond 200. The key is to make sure you stay in the spot shown. In different spots, the lightning is more random.

GOT it. the second one comes in half the time the first one came. Once you start, it's 12 seconds then the second one comes in 6 seconds. I'm about 95% sure this was the count.

@ajk712 This can be done at any time in the game, and is best as something to come back to later, so you'll know if you even need it in the first place. (it's optional)

@konsiders Thanks. I ended up doing it on the spot as I arrived there. It wasn't too difficult but it was kind of frustrating especially when I got around 130 and then got distracted by a phone call =(

i dodged 122 in a row. and 1102 lightning total. then i got hit ): can we save the game so that if we got hit we will just reset the ps2 and continue from the number were on before we got hit ?? if we cant then i guess i will try harder. my eyes hurt when i dodge for so long. XD

@icey2356 Press X when you see the flash, and the character will jump and dodge the lightning. You've got to pay close attention or you'll miss it.

Did you have a non-encounter weapon equipped???

In this video, yes. It will help to equip one to keep track of how many times you've dodged, but it's not required.
