@J801506 yes i was in #7. Read some news papers from the late 60's. Everyone was wondering then how these towers would hold up in a bad fire. They used 30% less steel while building these things. They used fire proffing that fell off if it rained. They wernt these awesome structures you say they were. They put the columes on the outside to save inner space.

The WTC had many core support columes which ran down the center of the building serveral flores underground. There are also serveral different interviews from prior to 9/11 of the people who were responsible for building the complex stating that is could withstand the impact of a plane. Also fire doesnt defy gravity. Fire cannot create free fall speed with no resistance =/

@J801506 those guys had razor knifes. From load point the towers could handle a couple of planes. They did not plan for fully loaded planes hitting them at that speed. Nor did they know the size of the planes, amount of fule ect.. those towers are huge kites up there, they have to handle up 120mph winds. Fire, and lots of it, on top of overloaded beams brought them down.

This is from the Channel 5 national news team. It is the original sound as aired in France. in this area 2 blocks away most were OK, but the firefighter directing traffic here returned to duty & was sadly murdered during the WTC 1 demolition, an hour later.
