This is an imperialistic viewpoint of places where English is not the first language...it is about English, not culture. Making fun of language ability by monolingual English speakers is a joke!

I am the one making fun (or trying to) and English is not my first language. Many days people laugh at me for making similar mistakes, and at the end of the day, the ones that have laughed feel closer to me than the ones that don't. Doesn't it make you think?

You're totally right! It becomes more evident as it goes on because it's always making fun that the English is wrong. But where are the signs? Not in countries with English as first language.
