Does this make sense. Buy a 400 doller lego rc car that breaks so easy when gets wet breaks and cant go over 2mph... now a 200 doller drift car (i have) never ever breaks yes its water prof and the top speed is 53 mph now thats fast..

a direct drive must be putting alot of strain on the motors. a pivoting gear system would allow the suspension to function and keep the motors higher off the ground allowing it to tread water

@lv0404 one receiver has 2 channels but you can add as many motors to one channel as you like, so if you connect 2 motors to one channel and use the remote to go both motors work at once.

i dont know why you would do that but just in case i thought i would let you know.

You are right. Except for one thing... The 2nd motor must turn in the opposite direction - without using two handles at the same time. I did not own a polarity switch (which does exist) to connect onto the same cannel. So I had to resolve it otherwise to make sure to let one motor turn in the opposite direction using 1 channel.

I still have the kit from my old RC Lego Racer's technic "HotFlame". The Racer's kit goes a lot faster than this, I'll give it that much, but it also takes more batteries and the battrery/RC board piece is kind of beefy. The engines are connected via decent length wires and the steering port isn't bound to the RC brick though, so there's some great creative freedom with the set. Still use it to this day, great fun.

Only the Lego NXT Motors are (a little bit) more powerfull. There are higher speed Lego motors available, but these have less power... So if you want to stick to buildable Lego motors, this is it.
