Its not always that works, They demand that you notify a GM about any missing items or profession within 3 days from the deletion, And I wonder how we can do that when we dont even have access to our account. Also, Its not always that they will restore your characters which are under the level of 10, Meaning that if your really paranoid about getting hacked, Or dont have a virus program that is good, Level your bank alts over 10. And for all sake try to remember all the names of your characters.

That happend to me, I lost 2 70s, 3500g and a 67 warlock, and a crapload of alts 20+. I relized later after I got my account back that the guy sent all my money to my warlock and transferred him to a different realm (not deleted yet) then sent to money to another account and deleted all my chars so the gm does restore all of your money / gear / characters

If nothin else, just do what my friend did. They have to verify if they try to change the billing information like email and everything else, so there's no way they could've just changed it. First of all, I never fell for any scams. In fact I don't even recall mentioning any scams. Some PC nerd keylogged my password and name and therefore HACKED my account, hence the title of the damn vid. Second, my 70 was never removed, just every character but my level 70, my friend was wrong. Lastly, Blizzard restored everything including my chars, gold, and items so I wasn't at any fault. I'm not stupid like that. :P
