Im Canadian and im up to my 5th trip to Thailand i took JAL everytime and last time i took United big mistake im going back to JAL they Rock Takeoff Service meals movies functional seating gadgets landing and zero loss of lugadge in the belly bay 10\10 for JAL .

I´m sorry shagohood7, but I beg to differ...I´m a bit appalled at the high number of incidents this airline´s had. Sure, it has a fantastic on-board service but , let me tell you, it´s really no fun having the 747 you´re on popping an engine while gathering speed on the runway prior to take off, which in turn causes the plane to start rolling off the runway (the pilot was a real pro, he handled the thing in true Dukes of Hazzard manner!). Now, it´s less fun having this 2 days IN A ROW...

Japan Airlines is good. I heard that JAL bought almost all of Singapore Airline's 747's. Singapore Airlines doesn't keeps any of their aircraft for more than 6 years. JAL would have to have the best cargo fleet though.

On my way to Manila I took an AA777-200 to Narita from San Jose, then a JAL747 to Manila, I was a little puzzled why they use 747's for pretty short flights when I found out because air travel in Japan is so popular they have to use them. The flight was wonderful, they have awesome customer service and pretty much everything you needed (we were in first class for both flights). If I had to pick which flight I enjoyed more, I would pick the Japan Airlines flight.
