THIS is the problem, IF the Stupid American Sheeple Pass this bill then the Government can go on business as usual. But if we dont pass this FRAUD by LAW we are guaranteed Health Care. Health care is NOT written in the Constitution. The term "general welfare" is used twice vaguely, but always in the context of the "general welfare of the United States" (Article 1, Section 8). Nowhere is it stated that the government is responsible for the health of each individual citizen.

Beyond the Constitution, the EMTALA only applies to Emergency Medical Treatment, which is defined as "a medical condition manifesting itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity"

Social security is an entirely separate issue that has nothing to with the EMTALA if that is what you mean.

You can't simply take all the seniors off either because they have, like you, paid into these government-run programs in order to receive the benefits they enjoy now. Honestly, I wish all these government agencies were not required, but unfortunately morals must be legislated in our society.

I always find that the right always brings up the constitution for every argument but the fact is the constitution is almost worthless anymore! I well tell you why, It was written by men who had morals and the congressman and senators we have now, have none! Folks look at the constitution as the bible but believe me if our forefathers could see now how it is being used they would tear it up!

Its true that hospitals cannot inquire as to payment before the patient's condition is stable, but once this requirement is met, there is NO LAW to prevent the hospital from charging medical bills until the patient in question files for bankruptcy.

The EMTALA is by no means health care in the context of current debate as it has nothing to do with health insurance and only pertains to emergency situations.

Again that is why so many come to America to get there free health care. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places, but the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act is quite clear, and I believe that to be the only actual law directly pertaining to the issue we're discussing.
