You know, I was looking for the video with you singing "I smell a BLT" but then I go and find an honest dude laying out the level of respect he gives for his fans. It's cool to see guys like rocco who would never want to betray our respect for him. I bet all you guys at Mega64 are like that. Now where the hell is that BLT video.
I saw Twin Peaks because of this video and now I can finally offer my opinion, though it's a bit late.
I really see the points in the middle of season 2 where the show kind of dropped off in eventfulness, but I also had motivation to keep watching because then I really cared about everyone. Twin Peaks doesn't always make the most sense with all its supernatural stuff, but it really has a way of making you care. I liked that the show really felt "new" despite being 2 decades old.
Twin Peaks has a subtle draw to it. The characters are unique and enjoyable. I found that the lack of any real detailed character back story, besides of course slowly learning about Laura Palmer, added to the mystery of the show as a whole. I do wish the second season was more to the point.
Also, if you liked the good and evil aspects of the show, I would highly recommend giving the 2 season HBO series Carnivale a gander if you haven't already.(this goes for anyone reading this long ass comment)

You should do this more often, but mostly on rare occasions just to have a 1 on 1 session with you and the viewers of Mega64 to see how everything is.

We had a week to go through a 50 page booklet of magazine reviews, posters, website reviews, all this kinda stuff - and then at the end of the week we had an exam on editing the information together in two hours. I think I 'made' one of those inserts you find in DVD boxsets. Which is just ridiculous, and I'll never forgive the English board for spoiling what SEEMS to be a fantastic show!

Deadly Premonition. Buy that game for the 360 and try it out. It's basically the Japanese trying to make their own Twin Peaks. It's insane, poorly made, and possibly one of the greatest games made this decade.
@wanderingknitter 2010 was a pretty eventful year for gaming. But even with Mass Effect 2, Bad Company 2, Assassin's Creed 2, Red Dead Redemption, Starcraft 2, Amnesia, Reach, Civilization 5, Dead Rising 2, and New Vegas-among many others-Deadly Premonition STILL gets my vote for game of the year.
I don't always have time to watch long videos, but this was quality stuff. As long as your long videos are as well done as this one, I, for one, am happy to watch.

I think I saw part of that TV movie once or it might have actually been something else. Well whatever it was it looked interesting and I've heard some interesting things about David Lynch.
Twin Peaks is one of my favorite shows of all time. The end of the Laura Palmer arc was the peak but I still think the show was good after that and I think they made a pretty good transition to Cooper's new mission etc. It felt like anything could happen at any point in time but they always ended on a positive note with them eating pie at the diner. That's why I actually liked the ending. It all went real bad real fast in the last two eps, though the final scene was far from ideal.

Dick Tremayne was the worst piece of shit character and I loathed each moment he was on screen. It did fall off in a big way but I think Kyle MacLachlan kept the show interesting and Dale Cooper is the best character of any show I have ever seen, I loved his performance and his personality.

I thought twin peaks was an amazing show. Particularily in the early second season. The thing about the whole show that got me was the fact that it wasn't trying to be anything except enjoyable for me the wierdness gave it something worth paying attention to. Mulholland Drive is considered one of David Lynch's more accessible works, but Eraserhead is also amazing (and somewhat disturbing). If you're interested in something short, look into his serial RABBITS. You can find the whole thing online somewhere / on youtube. There should be 8 or 9 episodes, if I remember correctly.
I watched twin peaks season 1 , the movie and then about 7 eps of season 2. I then stopped and have felt no need to return to the show yet. Everyone i know season 2 is shit and i found myself agreeing from the little i saw.
Twin Peaks was great until the end of the Laura Palmer story in season 2, then not much good I thought until the finale. Good show overall definitely.

Regrettably, I watched the movie "Fire Walk With Me" before actually watching the TV series, therefore completely spoiling the entire mystery of the show.
I mean the only mystery left by that point is who/what killed the previous agent , and where the hell is Kiefer Sutherland's character ( both of which are never revealed).
Overall, a decent show that makes no sense whatsoever, unless you watch it to its entirety, which is problematic since the box set doesn't have the first fucking episode.
Do not watch Mullholland Drive. The script was written for TV but was canned so it was converted into a film script. The film then had to become the equivalent to a television season. I'm sure the original script had a lot more depth but the end result is all bull shit. For the material they were given the actors and actresses did a fantastic job as well as the entire production crew but the script is worse than looking at David Lynch's liver spotted balls for two hours. Watch Eraserhead.
That was an awesome statement about the fans at the end there Rocco. I first watched the Twin Peaks series because I had read it was a strong influence for Alan Wake and I had enjoyed the atmosphere of that game. I agree, like most people, that the transition from the Laura Palmer arc was done poorly, but overall I enjoyed the series for (1) the paranormal aspects (2) all the quirky/bizarre moments.
A favorite moment for me is Dr. Jacoby's intro: after asking to tag along to visit Laura in the morgue, he starts feeling up the hulu skirt of the girl on his tie.
Twin Peaks is the shit. I'm a big fan of the series, I even have the soundtrack, my friends and I get into it and make references all the time. Message me telling me what you thought about the end of the finale with what happened to Cooper. Personally, I was pretty devastated.
Rocco I'm sure everyone's told you this since you've watched Twin Peaks, but checkout Eraserhead by David Lynch. I thought it was a really weird/cool take on the dread of future and industrial life. Some people say it hits home pretty hard, some say they just like it because of its originality. I'm curious to hear your position!
I'm at episode 5 of season 2 of Twin Peaks and am loving it so far. I think there's a lot of similarities between Lost and Twin Peaks, specifically the really dark backstories of a lot of the characters and the paranormal tone. Cooper has a John Lock vibe to him as well.

For Twin Peaks I actually did take the route of only watching till the end of the Laura arc (I started watching the next episode after that conclusion and realized I that I wasn't interested in the rest of the series since it seemed like one big side-story) and I don't regret it since as far as I'm concerned (from what I saw) it was a great series overall. And when I do recommend the show to people I like to preface it by saying something like "only watch till the first half " just to clarify.
Rocco blasted by at 300 miles per hour, vloggin' his heart out when midway through a sentence he remembered that he really felt blessed to have such good friends through Mega64. Not just casual friends, but co-workers too, and always there for him when he wanted to laugh, to confide in someone, to be with. He felt, at that moment, like he was complete. He was leading a great life, surrounded by great people, and had many admirers. He glanced at the passing trees, and thought, "I've made it."
I saw a comment on a vid where Rocco actually turned away the camera from his face because the light was too strong, and someone commented with "The new Iphone 4 can repel Rocco's face from the camera?! THE TECHNOLOGY IS HERE!"

I thought twin peaks was an amazing show. Particularily in the early second season. The thing about the whole show that got me was the fact that it wasn't trying to be anything except enjoyable for me the wierdness gave it something worth paying attention to. If you haven't played Deadly Premonition perhaps try it out it's similar to Twin Peaks in its own strange way. Hey dude are you gonna make it to TGS this year? If so hopefully catch you there amigo. Mulholland Drive is considered one of David Lynch's more accessible works, but Eraserhead is also amazing (and somewhat disturbing). If you're interested in something short, look into his serial RABBITS. You can find the whole thing online somewhere / on youtube. There should be 8 or 9 episodes, if I remember correctly.

I watched twin peaks season 1 , the movie and then about 7 eps of season 2. I then stopped and have felt no need to return to the show yet. Everyone i know season 2 is shit and i found myself agreeing from the little i saw.

Some people may disagree with me but I think it's a very good movie, whatever you do don't go into it thinking that it will make sense the first or seventh watch.
But still very good/creepy movie

2. I have no knowledge of David Lynch films outside of Eraserhead, which I think requires a bit of patience and a high tolerance for creepy shit.
3. If I had super-stretchy thumbs, I would give thumbs up to people from far away.

Regrettably, I watched the movie "Fire Walk With Me" before actually watching the TV series, therefore completely spoiling the entire mystery of the show.
I mean the only mystery left by that point is who/what killed the previous agent , and where the hell is Kiefer Sutherland's character ( both of which are never revealed).
Overall, a decent show that makes no sense whatsoever, unless you watch it to its entirety, which is problematic since the box set doesn't have the first fucking episode.

Do not watch Mullholland Drive. The script was written for TV but was canned so it was converted into a film script. The film then had to become the equivalent to a television season. I'm sure the original script had a lot more depth but the end result is all bull shit. For the material they were given the actors and actresses did a fantastic job as well as the entire production crew but the script is worse than looking at David Lynch's liver spotted balls for two hours. Watch Eraserhead.

It's true that many of us are a little weird, which is why we like things like Timbo, but to address it like that when, and I agree with you, so many YouTube channels just go "leave a comment below, what would you do if whatever". I first watched the Twin Peaks series because I had read it was a strong influence for Alan Wake and I had enjoyed the atmosphere of that game. I agree, like most people, that the transition from the Laura Palmer arc was done poorly, but overall I enjoyed the series for (1) the paranormal aspects (2) all the quirky/bizarre moments.
A favorite moment for me is Dr. Jacoby's intro: after asking to tag along to visit Laura in the morgue, he starts feeling up the hulu skirt of the girl on his tie.

Twin Peaks is the shit. I'm a big fan of the series, I even have the soundtrack, my friends and I get into it and make references all the time. Message me telling me what you thought about the end of the finale with what happened to Cooper. Personally, I was pretty devastated.

Some people say it hits home pretty hard, some say they just like it because of its originality. I'm curious to hear your position!

I'm at episode 5 of season 2 of Twin Peaks and am loving it so far. I think there's a lot of similarities between Lost and Twin Peaks, specifically the really dark backstories of a lot of the characters and the paranormal tone. Cooper has a John Lock vibe to him as well.

For Twin Peaks I actually did take the route of only watching till the end of the Laura arc (I started watching the next episode after that conclusion and realized I that I wasn't interested in the rest of the series since it seemed like one big side-story) and I don't regret it since as far as I'm concerned (from what I saw) it was a great series overall. And when I do recommend the show to people I like to preface it by saying something like "only watch till the first half " just to clarify.

Not just casual friends, but co-workers too, and always there for him when he wanted to laugh, to confide in someone, to be with. He felt, at that moment, like he was complete. He was leading a great life, surrounded by great people, and had many admirers. He glanced at the passing trees, and thought, "I've made it."
