They don't end up together. It's not like I don't like Kyo, I just feel like Yuki got the short end of the deal. Yes, he gets a girlfriend, but I never did feel like he had as much chemistry as he did with Tohru. I just felt a little cheated since there were so many scenes of Yuki and Tohru (most of them pretty flirty I may add). As stated before I do NOT dislike Kyo, I just wish Yuki ended up with Tohru.
I thought that Yuki and Tohru were SO utterly adorable together that I virtually went through over half of the episodes on my iPod and took pictures of every moment they had together. It meant a lot of going back over seconds I had already seen, repetitively just to get the shot- but was so worth it.
I now have 169 photos named "Tuki" that I am planning to make a few collages with... So sad that Yuki and Tohru were never written to be together. Quite a tragedy :(

Kyo+Tohru are the perfect couple, Machi ends up with Yuki, and Yuki is a little pervy like Shigure because he kisses Tohru and he thinks of Tohru as a mom, he almost kissed, smelled, or ate Tohru's bow in this movie, so yah, you can imagine the weirdness XD And he also wore girl clothes voluntarily just like Ritchan-San. I think Ritchan-San should get a gender change. Bai!

I never got into the manga, but in any event, I too was blown away when I was told that she and Kyo were paired up. Truly a pity.

@nmfinney I agree. It's pretty obvious to me that Yuki struggled with his feelings for Tohru and didn't see her as mother figure until the mangaka decided so. Yuki didn't truly love and respect himself so he wasn't capable of being with anyone else in that sense. In the manga, he made it clear several times that he wanted to tell Tohru about his feelings later on, but wasn't ready. He still had to "open the lid(?)". He took too long though and lost it for Kyo.
sorry to kill all of your fan girl fantasies, but it is CLEARLY explained in the manga that Yuki sees her as a PARENTAL FIGURE!!! Some one asked about their relationship and he said "mother" -_-

In the comic book, it's not that Yuki doesn't like Tohru anymore. To me, I think Tohru will always be the one Yuki likes. Even though she isn't Yuki's girlfriend, Yuki will always care about Tohru...like a real family. This kind of love is really deep and natural to Yuki. So I really love the end.

i think i liked the yuki and tohru pairing a little more than kyo and tohru. Yuki is just adorable. They were yet another couple i hoped for in vain. I also wished that Nina would have chose Ichi in Mamotte Lollipop! Call me a sap for being swayed by their chivalry and their oppressive amounts of sincerity, but i thought they were two wonderful characters. @Fanime07 They ended up together because although they both needed Tohru, she needed Kyo. They don't get that far in the tv show, but you should read the manga. It's amazing, my favorite and the ending is very satisfying. You even get to see them grow up (not adults, but not preteens either lol)

Okay, so I read the last book before this, and I kind of know why Yuki and Tohru didn't end up together. It's simple. Kyo+Tohru are the perfect couple, Machi ends up with Yuki, and Yuki is a little pervy like Shigure because he kisses Tohru and he thinks of Tohru as a mom, he almost kissed, smelled, or ate Tohru's bow in this movie, so yah, you can imagine the weirdness XD And he also wore girl clothes voluntarily just like Ritchan-San. I think Ritchan-San should get a gender change. Bai!

I'm just blown away that Yuki and Tohru don't get together...that was the biggest mistake of this manga. Maybe just because I saw the anime and the feelings between them are so clear to me at least. There's no way he thinks of Tohru as a "mother" at leas in the anime.

@VeggieTrunks I know, right! I really appreciate and agree with your comment here. Throughout the entire anime, I thought that Tohru and Yuki were a couple that was meant to be. I never got into the manga, but in any event, I too was blown away when I was told that she and Kyo were paired up. Truly a pity.

I don't believe Yuki saw Tohru as a mom until the creator decided they didn't want her to have to chose and Yuki being popular would have more chances at finding another love than would kyo

@nmfinney I agree. It's pretty obvious to me that Yuki struggled with his feelings for Tohru and didn't see her as mother figure until the mangaka decided so. Yuki didn't truly love and respect himself so he wasn't capable of being with anyone else in that sense. In the manga, he made it clear several times that he wanted to tell Tohru about his feelings later on, but wasn't ready. He still had to "open the lid(?)". He took too long though and lost it for Kyo.

Thank you for the video. I think it's great. They look so sweet. Actually, I don't like the girl who becomes Yuki's girlfriend in the comic. But I like the relationship between Tohru and Yuki in it.
In the comic book, it's not that Yuki doesn't like Tohru anymore. To me, I think Tohru will always be the one Yuki likes. Even though she isn't Yuki's girlfriend, Yuki will always care about Tohru...like a real family. This kind of love is really deep and natural to Yuki. So I really love the end.

when i wached the anime i was so happy then i started to ssearch things in the manga and...

i think i liked the yuki and tohru pairing a little more than kyo and tohru. Yuki is just adorable. They were yet another couple i hoped for in vain. I also wished that Nina would have chose Ichi in Mamotte Lollipop! Call me a sap for being swayed by their chivalry and their oppressive amounts of sincerity, but i thought they were two wonderful characters. I thought that Haruhi and Hikaru would have been a super cute couple as well. Tamaki is great and all, but you've gotta love that Hikaru.

i finally finished reading the manga... it was soo cute any one who hasn't... READ IT ITS SOOO GOOD!!!!! i loved the ending but when i first read it it didnt sink in and im like " thats weird" but after reading it a couple more times i started to ball my eyes out ( and not because i was sad, it was just too happy for me) :'D

he does! And actually, Yuki was Tohru's 'first love' without knowing it. They met when they were very young, and she was lost, and he helped her get home, then gave her his red cap, but she didn't see his face, so she didn't recognise him. Anyway, Yuki did have feelings for Tohru, but since she and Kyo got together, Yuki had no choice but to move on :) :(. I love Yuki too, so it surprised and shocked me too, I definetly thought they would end up together!

you left out the part when Torhu called him by his nickname, Prince Yuki. Then he got nervous/shy that he turned into the rat. That part was funny. (It was hatsuharu that told her to do that, he knew Yuki would be shy and change. Man that part was funny!!)

yeah i definitely agree,actually,i am just about to watch the whole anime series..and by just seeing yuki and tohru,,i know they have always been a perfect couple,,so i searched wiki and youtube about the pairing,,and i was so distressed to know that kyo and tohru will be the ones ending up..

@Fanime07 They ended up together because although they both needed Tohru, she needed Kyo. They don't get that far in the tv show, but you should read the manga. It's amazing, my favorite and the ending is very satisfying. You even get to see them grow up (not adults, but not preteens either lol)
