Night Elves did not use Sunwell Magic, as the Sunwell was created by Exiled Highborne (Night Elves of Noble birth - They were turning to High Elves partially because of their change of habits from nocturnal to diurnal) to replace their lost Well of Eternity, which was the fountain of their magic.

These Highelves after close to 7000 years of history were decimated by Arthas' undead army and the few survivors became the Blood Elves in honor of the fallen.

@Meygan2009 First were the trolls. Then, from them, Kaldorei, or Night elves, evolved. Then there was the business with Queen Ashara and the Naga were born (Kaldorei, twisted by the shattering of the sunwell). Then came the High elves, because there was an internal conflict between Kaldorei (children of the moon) and Sindorei (children of the sun), about the use of arcane magic so the race split up. THEN came the blood elves, formed by Kael'thas. And yes, their eyes are green becasue of felmagic

After the burning legion came in the burning crusade and the sunwell source was broken some of the high elves started following kael thas because he found the use of fel magic while the ones that didn't follow kael thas become known as the night elves. @THEUNDEADSLAYER3 hit up the wowwiki and you will find that they are diferent my freind, you find high elves dotted about azeroth, in various regions. there are lots in shattrath city in outland, some even make the point of saying " its ok i get that all the time, im a high elf not a blood elf" their elves are gold glowing . blood elves started out as highelves yes but splinterd of from them after the scourge invasion. their eyes glow green because they drain the mana from fallen enemies.
