Plus what was the point of wrecking the stardust..no news was planned for the sight echlon whatever didn't even decide and plans yet.. Fucking Steve wynn
Haven't been to Las Vegas since 1993, right before the Dunes implosion, and have no desire to ever go back. All the things that said Las Vegas to me are gone now. Sands, Dunes, Landmark, Aladdin, Castaways, Stardust, and God knows what else.
It will be hard for the old patrons to come to LV if they keep demolishing all thier old buildings...I know theres alot of people my age, 25 that still enjoy the old time Las Vegas feel on the Strip! Stardust was fun and they always seem to payout on slots and the Frontier I always had to visit because of thier 9.95 Steak and Shrimp!! There isn't that many deals in Vegas like that anymore.
I remember when I lived in Las Vegas as a child. Back in the 1970's there used to be commercials of Stardust's Sports Book. I remember seeing Robert Conrad as the spokesperson.
So sad to see such a grand icon gone. I'm pretty certain Las Vegas does not look the same now as it did back in 1996. Long live memories of the past glitz & glamor of Vegas!!!
It sure is sad to see the desolate empty space, with only the two prongs of the Stardust Neon sign still there, the empty electronic board below...especially when you remember what used to be there. Man giveth, and man taketh away as they say. Sure hope it was worth it. Echelon place better be good.
