People would say abusive hurtful things about her for RELIGIOUS reasons. The Christians hate her because she has been married more than once. Has nothing to do with her songwriting abilities. I am glad I am no longer Christian, now I don't have to judge her and just enjoy her music. I have done some terribly things as a non believer, but now I want to act like the Buddha or like Jesus. No more hating people. Love my neighbor as I love myself and not take revenge.

This is my favorite Amy Grant song by far. The lyrics are great, the music is beautiful and the rhythm is awesome. What a great "feel good" kind of song.
Abuse and misuse of children is the worst people can go through -period- In too many cases it's also psychological, so the abuser/misuser avoids that they tell anyone. I admire those who tell, but that doesn't mean I'm upset with the ones that don't tell. As a child and teenager, I went through a lot of emotional abuse; so I have a slight idea of what physical abuse might be.
I don't know why so many great songs interpreted by Amy Grant (if not texted or composed by her) get so much hateful conversations in the comments? Can't you people stop the hating and be at least a bit decent?

I finally at the age of 13 was able to tell my best friend and 2 months after it ended I was able to tell my mom. Oh by the way counseling doesn't always help.
Amy Grant's "Heart in Motion" album is one of my all-time favorites...I was going through a divorce seventeen years ago when I came across this album and this song saved me from depression so many times because it reminded me of my daughter who was an infant at the time. This album always lifted my spirits during that dark time.
