Bon Jovi is a band that has had an amazing evolution in its sound and they deserve their success because they are one of the few 80s bands that was able to keep up with rocks changes when glam/hair bands fell out of favor. I like their newer music more than most of what they made in the 80s.

Seems like Jon is getting deeper with each album. I think he understands more of what people are going through in life and tries to help them through song. Its true that he cares more for his fans and for anyone who needs to hear a friendly voice to tell them that life has more to offer than what they are currently experiencing. This song in particular just says you make life what you want it to be. If you want to go on then pick yourself up and move on like you mean it.
