i like the ones with he heart sprinkles! i actually just came up with the idea tonight to possibly make chocolate covered strawberries for my boyfriend for Valentine's day. :)
i tried doing chocolate covered strawberries once, but after I dipped the strawberries, the chocolate wouldn't dry back to its normal hardness. it stayed liquidy the whole time--even after leaving them in the frig for hours...WHY DID THAT HAPPENNED? I mean I didn't add any water to the chocolate at all, so i don't know what went wrong :(
@ready101okay I have to say you have me completely mystified!!! I would not give up but try a different brand of chocolate - pick the one you love to eat the most and try that. Chocolate strawberries are so delicious they are worth a second try!!!! A good chocolate definitely would have hardened especially once they had been in the fridge. Bye for now, Michelle
@ready101okay its not about the chocolate its about the consistency if the consistensy is too thick itll be sometimes hard and sometimes fast for you to freeze it but if its too like the liquidy consistency of the chocolate the coldness will just absorb it so you want a smooth consistency go melt a very thick chocolate and a vegetable oil one a a time until you get a thick and soft consistency :) i hope this helps you!.
@ready101okay Tempering would probably help. I remember with I first try them and same took ages to try. Tempering will also make the chocolate go hard again so it won't melt as easy when you pick it up. PLus it goes shiny! Just look up a Tempering chocolate and you will get loads of different methods. You just have to choose one that suits you best!
@ready101okay Could be two things. Strawberries weren't dry and the chocolate slipped right off. or like inspiredbymichelle said brands of chocolate are different. Use nestle chocolate chip or melt an chocolate candy bar and use that :)

@ready101okay Lol! I know right. It takes a certain chocolate to do the simplest choclate desserts..

@ready101okay Did you add margarine or oil? They said that it was made easier to dip with. I'm actually surprised that it didn't harden up.
