Review of Guitar Hero 5: Better Than Rockband???!

Guitar Hero 5 is awesome. The track list is okay but I usually just go onto the store and download whatever I want (Guns N Roses, Aerosmith, etc.)

Let me put it this way. Roc band is for beginners and guitar hero is for intermediates. It is much more challenging. The drums have more buttons, the songs have more licks. One thing I don't like about guitar hero is that the vocals suck. Btw, does anyone know if I can use a ps2 rockband guitar for gh5 on ps3?

Guitar Hero 5 is much better than RB2. I agree with this review. Plus, many of the World Tour songs are in RB2 and you can just import these over.

EVEN WORSE is that he says that the Guitar Hero Kit is better put together... WHAT BULLSHIT! Rock Band 2 kit will last so much longer then that crappy kit. ION's are a million times better then the premium kit for Guitar hero and Rock Band kit combined. Guitar Hero died after GH3. GH3 was the last good game. Activision should learn how to stop being money hungry. In 2009 they released so many GH games and only 1 was good. ONLY ONE! Activison should listen to the gamers for once.

You know what pisses me off? When I'm trying to play Guitar Hero drums on expert or expert+ and I make one tiny little mistake during a blast or a hard part, I get fucked over because I instantly fail even with star power. Guitar hero tracks suck. Once every now and then you get a good song but with the whitewashed game play it's hard to enjoy. I'll admid the guitar is the most enjoyable instrument but Vocals... Vocals is fucked. 2:28 try playing scatterbrain on expert, this game sucked.

Rock band has it right where they focused on the DLC. With GH you have a new game like every freaking 3 months. I don't like spending $60 every time theirs a new set list. Not sure how many DLC GH has but RB is getting close to 1000 plus the addition the Rockband network coming in 2010. It'll be the death blow to GH. I have RB2 and instead of paying $60 for GH5 cause it has few sweet tracks, I could just pay $2 or 160 MS and download that new sweet track into Rb2

obviously you haven't played GH5 because they made the gameplay, interface, multiplayer, etc. SOOO much better. After suffering through the problems with the last three games, despite liking the setlists of metallica and smash hits, I was VERY happy with the changes and additions they made in GH5. Neversoft finally got a full band game right. Now they just need some more challenging or good songs as DLC, because that's what makes rock band so great.

Guitar hero 5 is now better than rock band. Just 1 problem from keeping away from everyone thinking IT'S better than Rock band. The setlist. Great game, but pretty awful songs. In MY opinion, Rock band has better than guitar hero over the past few years due to, better setlists and songs. I mean Harmonix ( A.K.A the makers of rock band 1 and 2 ) have put songs from classic rock to heavy metal. That everyone actually enjoy rocking out to. Guitar hero, well it just doesn't have that.
