@Rhantismos23 no disrespect, but not only Jesus walked on the earth, but multiple Hindu gods took human form, Zeus and Poseidon did to create greek heroes, many Egyptian gods took human form, one of which, being Osiris, took human form, was killed, and supposadly sits on the throne of judgment so that he can bless others (not just kings) with a good afterlife. Personally I believe Jesus exists as a God of spiritual transformation .

@Rhantismos23 I'm a christian but the bible has many mythological influences. Take genesis for example. Genesis 1 and 2 where written hundreds of years apart. Noahs Ark in Armenia? No one has ever found Noahs Ark and there has never been any reliable evidence for a Global Flood. Actually there is much more evidence of Large local floods. The Egyptian texts you a referring to mentions nothing about Moses. Only that there where famines and such but this is common for that area at the time....

Many people where called sorcerers back then so using that logic is false. However even if the bible has archeological mistakes and such and has been influenced by cultures does not mean that god did not use these things to inspire these people. The bible is not a archeological or science book. It has theological truth and nothing else.

@Cursecut3r Hi! I think that many believers, be they Muslims, Christians, etc would argue that atheists also are making a "leap of faith". By this I mean that atheists, similarly to believers who can not definitively prove the existence of a god, are not able to conclusively prove their point. What makes an atheist believe that at one instant, something (the universe) came out of nothing? However this is only true for causes within the system (here the universe that is being created). If the cause is exterior to the system (as I would argue here, a creator god or "energy"), then this does not pose any problem. Allow me to use an incomplete metaphor. Imagine a computer programer that starts/creates a highly complex and evolving computer program. (cont.)

Again, I am not an engineer but I have little reason to believe that anything can be 100% efficient. Pro-choice is a right for women, like it or not. Call abortion legalized killing, or murder, whatever. But the fact is there's LOTS of killing that's legalized, some of which YOU support, no doubt.

@Rhantismos23 no disrespect, but not only Jesus walked on the earth, but multiple Hindu gods took human form, Zeus and Poseidon did to create greek heroes, many Egyptian gods took human form, one of which, being Osiris, took human form, was killed, and supposadly sits on the throne of judgment so that he can bless others (not just kings) with a good afterlife. Personally I believe Jesus exists as a God of spiritual transformation .

@Rhantismos23 I'm a christian but the bible has many mythological influences. Take genesis for example. Genesis 1 and 2 where written hundreds of years apart. Noahs Ark in Armenia? No one has ever found Noahs Ark and there has never been any reliable evidence for a Global Flood. Actually there is much more evidence of Large local floods. The Egyptian texts you a referring to mentions nothing about Moses. Only that there where famines and such but this is common for that area at the time....

Many people where called sorcerers back then so using that logic is false. However even if the bible has archeological mistakes and such and has been influenced by cultures does not mean that god did not use these things to inspire these people. The bible is not a archeological or science book. It has theological truth and nothing else.

@Cursecut3r Hi! I think that many believers, be they Muslims, Christians, etc would argue that atheists also are making a "leap of faith". By this I mean that atheists, similarly to believers who can not definitively prove the existence of a god, are not able to conclusively prove their point. What makes an atheist believe that at one instant, something (the universe) came out of nothing? Believers would say that there had to be someone to light the fuse of the firecracker ;) hope this helps

However this is only true for causes within the system (here the universe that is being created). If the cause is exterior to the system (as I would argue here, a creator god or "energy"), then this does not pose any problem. Allow me to use an incomplete metaphor. Imagine a computer programer that starts/creates a highly complex and evolving computer program. (cont.)

However at one point you reach a point where the system was at time 0 and nothing preexisted within the program. That was when the programer started the program and then the program comes to life. There is from inside the program no reason why it started. Similarly in our universe everything needs a cause but god is trusted to be preexistent and outside of the system. @mrpilot102 Although I would not consider myself as a pro in physics, I have read that this (an eternal universe) would contradict the laws of thermodynamics (I think it's something to do with "entropy"). The whole thing would gently reach a point where all useful energy has been used up. Further, Arabic und Jewish philosophers already argued that "an actual inifinte cannot exist". @mrpilot102 Here you suppose that the collapsing/restarting procedure is absolutely 100% efficient. Again, I am not an engineer but I have little reason to believe that anything can be 100% efficient. I am not sure this is a good metaphor but all bouncing balls and newton cradles eventually fizzle out. The way around it is to create or postulate laws of physics that are currently unknown and bypass this. However this requires a leap of faith by non believers (cont.)

However my main point is the following: believers and atheists both have several arguments (some stronger, some weaker) for their point of view and believers are not only the benighted, blind faith morons they are often seen as. hey can u guys pray for me? well me and my gf? her parents are making her have an abortion and me and her dont want to have an abortion and my parents want to put it up for adoption... also we dont know how far along she is... soo im praying she is over the limit and we can keep it... i just need prayers and not mean comments we are both 16 btw i just need gods help and i would like for him to let us keep it.. we got to saturday and i think he hates... me alot!

ummm actually... when Christians shoot pro-choice doctors they kill them. I'm not sure if you're aware of that. And in this country when you kill someone it's... murder. And when Christians harass homosexuals for their behavior, that's called discrimination & bigotry in this country. It's against the Constitution & Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Anyway, sin is sin no maturer what...I am one of those guys who has done alot crapp and sin in my days,./\ U like your honesty. If I ever get worried I ask God in private what He is thinking. So in God's eyes, cursing, lying, arrogance, pride & boasting are all just as bad as murder.
