  • I need a little help. My artic cat warn winch cable all the way out . Can you tell me how to reinstall my cable

  • @baseballgrader Well, it should either bolt on or since that would be obvious, it must simply go through the hole and start wrapping it around the spool.

  • Hi Doug, quick question. I just bought a 2008 Yamaha Big Bear, and it came with a Warn winch. Now unlike the other winch's I've used, the wires on this are running to some kind secondary wiring house that he had put inside the rear storage box, then to the battery.. I'd just like to know what the thing inside the rear storage box is, because I want to switch the winch to my other quad.. Thanks.

  • @lostinthegame77 Basically it's a control box that allows the power to come in from the battery and then go to the winch. But also there is the ability to operate the winch via the wires to the handlebar control or remote.

  • Warn is the only winch i'd ever buy...

  • I liked your video very much.

  • @bballplaya123678 All the wiring needed will come with the winch.

  • Are the RT winchs by warn water proof as well?

  • which type of winch will go best with a grizzly 550

  • @SUPERSPARTA41 Get the winch that best fits your budget. We really think the KFI is quality at a reasonable price. Just be sure to get synthetic cable....

  • you guys some test snorkle kits thats be fun to watch lol

  • @parkerparkerm Although we built a mud and water pit we don't get much enjooyment from mud when we have thousands of miles of incredible trails to ride.....

  • i wanted to ask if you could do a review on the mile maker vmx 2.5 or 3.0

  • We'll try.

  • thanks a lot i appreciate it

  • i got my xt30 for 469.00 witha 70 rebate just shop around this winch is awsome i have already gave it some hard work and it performed awsome pulling out some big bushes and logs. i wouldnt recomend the wire rope it tends to fray with sharp bends just stick with what works best no one like wire splinters from fraying. imo

  • Which type of warn winch are good for a Grizzly 700?

  • This one.

  • Doug are you still alive???? Have seen much action from you lately. Just checking in.

  • doug, what atv would work out the best for skiding logs out of the woods? i know nothing about atv's and im trying to micro an operation. i need some insight

  • Almost any big bore ATV would work well. You might take a look at the Polaris X2 as it not only offers a heavy-duty construction with an adjustable rear suspension but a rear bed for carrying tools. I'd also lean towards the Grizzly or King Quad with power steering for their ease of use in the woods.

  • If you use wire rope for plowing is that bad? Also once your done using a winch do you actually have to wind it back up like when it came from the factory?

  • The wire cable is fine. It's just that the rope makes the sharper bend better than steel. winding your cable back in will never be as neat as it came but it should always be rewound as neat as you can and always with some tension.

  • thats where i got the idea to do the 14'' xtrs an also you show the itp vid of the xtrs on 14'' with no mods would i be ok putting this size rim an tire ? an if there is any way that you can find out as we all know you know all the rite ppl .. thanks again doug ..

  • You'll probably need to slightly trim the black plastic fender extension just behind the footpeg!

  • thanks doug!!

  • Thanks Doug! This is the winch I'm going to get..Where would I get a mounting plate for my 1991 Honda Fourtrax 300?

  • doug gotta ask ya have ya ever had the 27/9 front 27/11 rear mudlite xtr on 14'' wheels on a grizzly 700 ??? if so have ya ever rubbed anywhere at all ?? i ask you because i trust in what you will tell me thanks very much an i love my plow set up an warn winch as well ..

  • You'll need to slightly trim the black plastic fender extension just behind the footpeg. But ours was also lowered slightly. Check out our Project Grizzly vids.
