DIAMOND HEAD IS THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE IN METALLICA BOOK NEXT TO MOTORHEAD WITH BOTH ARE FUCKIN GREAT BANDS BOTH OF THEM AND THIS SONG BLEW MY FUCKIN MIND AWAY
this is the very first i am listening to Diamond Head. I dont even listen to Metallica's covers, even though i love Metallica to death.. But this song surely blew my mind away
@JustAgURLinSeattle yea... this shits retarded... even worse, me being in a band being compared to metallica when thats not even the DIRECTION IM TAKING
listening to this great song makes me think wtf happened to them? How could they be so unheard and unrated?! people in the 80's didnt know shit about music.
these guys were ahead of there time also on one of there songs ( middle of the 70's i assume) they use squeelies or pinch harmonics, definitely one of the first bands to do so but never got credit
I don't like Metallica, but they got me into Diamond Head and I respect them for that. Even if you hate Metallica, you probably wouldn't have heard of Diamond Head if it weren't for Metallica. Just sayin'
This slaughters stairway to heaven sorry zep fans XD but I give the win to this. Down this all you want Zep fans but the only thing I can stand about Zep is Paige can't stand Plant's voice.
metallica and DH is like a win-win situation. DH got Metallica started, and Metallica kept DH alive so theyr still around today.. both bands are awsome \m/
@gerby90 i love that diamond head toured with megadeth when the system has failed came out. theres no way we would have 2 bands as awsome as megadeth and metallica if we didn't have this band - and in my opinion Diamond Head owns both bands without much effort...but im also a bigger fan of the old british metal shit then i am of the more americanized thrash genre...however both are equally as epic!
This is and always will be a Classic Metal band in the early 80s,loved them then.Seen them twice, awesome with Sean on vocals and Brian Tatler on the guitar......Canterbury is a Brilliant album and Living on Borrowed Time is very good.\m/.
This is probably the nearest they got to Led Zep, its just Kashmir. All you Metalicca fans are not right. This may be a missing link not the start!!! Get it?
I get it. Its about time somebody said something other than the "big influence on metallica" bollox, yes i love early metallica and thanks to metallica many people have heard DH music and they are still around today, Canterbury is an excellent album which shows more depth to the band - a development of the early NWOBHM sound.
