  • Much respect from San Francisco,California USA

  • bhagwan budd ki jai...i request every buddhist to come to bodh gaya on buddha purnima in may 2012 the day which commemorates the day of enlightenment of lord buddha......

  • I love Bodhgaya very very much.....very very beautiful!!

  • Does anyone else see The Dhamek Stupa @ Sarnath having the same profile as Devil's Tower, Wyoming ? Does Roy Neary perform a kora after completing his sculpture without knowing it ?

  • namaste

  • buddhism isn't about a place, it's about the all world. it's great to respect the ones who became buddha, but it's so much more clever to encourage the other one to try to arrive to the illumination. enjoy this place but don't hope find happiness just by going there, because the only way to elevation is in your own heart, not under a tree. When you'll find it, you'll be under all the trees.

  • rsrsrs i prefer Japan... but India is sacred as Japan is

  • I've traveled all over India and Bodh Gaya was my favorite!

  • the souvenirs looks amazing.. the small plague!!! wowww

  • im going to bodh gaya in december so excited..

  • going there next year for Dalai Lama"s teaching! can't wait! :)

  • @ajmahat

im thinking he only became the "buddha" when he achieved enlightenment. before that he was chilling as Siddhartha Gautama so was born as that. you dig?

  • This is not the birthplace of Buddha it's lumbini in Nepal.

  • yaa..lumbini, nepal is the birth place..but this is mahabodhi temple.. bodh gaya(bihar) where he got enlightnment..

  • @ajmahat Nevertheless, My deep regards is with Nepal and people of Nepal where such a great world leader, simple of love and humanity was born.

  • went there a couple weeks ago... totally overrated. It's just lots of people worshiping dead Gods.

  • @TheTimader The Buddha isn't considered a God. He is a teacher.

  • @sonicboomdan11 Yes, He wasn't a God, He is the teacher of human and God. He already overcome the round and round of birth and death like God and human being trap in. He shows God and Gods and all being, a way to overcome the suffering.

  • My wife and I recently visited Bodh Gaya. Of all the places I have been, this place moved me the most. Some photos and the story of our visit are on my site.

  • these temples wont be considered in wonders because.. other religions r always know that if any of the hindu temple will be in wonders then.. the people across the globe will see a glimpse .. of grate Hinduism and start critisizing their own religion that why.. these modem wonders r just made of minds with dirty politics... these temples r far more better than all the wonders... in fact they dont even come near to Hindu temples

  • Some day I will make my pilgrimage to Bodh Gaya! My heart calls me there. I can't wait to be able to touch the ground Lord Buddha touched!

  • @LuminousAeon well u xtian reject u are the buddha and the ground u touch is the same as the buddhas!
