thanks to your idea!! i made this armor using the same technic that you teach in your tutorial and i want to show you my clone trooper armor that i made of cardboard all of it with the same technic that yours thanks for your idea!!! i hope you like my armor please comment
This is awesome thank you very much! I am very interested in making my own but I have one question: is there any website I can go to that can give me stencil like cut outs to help me shape the armor while I am still new at this?
To be quite honest with you I've seen some buget cardboard armor on TDH. and I thought they were going to look like that. I was pleasantly surprised how well it turn out. Great job
This is a good way to have a good set of armor even if you have a low budget. I knew no other way of creating my own set of mando armor. Many told me to go through with cadboard but I had no clue how to start off. Your video showed me the way to have good functional mandalorian armor. I am going this way until money comes in so I can try for stuff that is more sturdy. Thanks for posting this up vod I really appretiate it.
@dannyphantomranger- HAHAHAHAHA!!!! you call cardboard "functional armor? pfft! use real steel not a domino's box and THEN will your armor be functional!
I am greatfull for your wisdom in creating armour, i made a vest out of 20 gauge sheet metal, your techniqe here. And ven the helmat using a similer teqniqe. I'm gonna try to make a new helmat with apoxy putty; my helmat didnt come out so well. But i compramised by adding a glow viser and built in walkie talking comm system, i am very thankful of yopu sharing your tecniqe with me.
I LOVE it! I have cut out some templates in poster board, and am going to make a femme 'gam set. I haven't decided whether or not I want to go the cheap cardboard route, or if I wanna get trash cans and do it that way. I REALLY like the distressing! Now I know how to do it! YAY! : ) I didn't think that the cardboard would look as good either, but that is just awesome!
im to lazy does anybody know where i can buy some armor. like the realy good armor where it comes with every thing. but if it come to it i will have to make it any way and i will probly will have to make it
you have the same voice as Robert downy jr., the guy from iron man, anyways, i used this technique and it worked perfectly, i now own 2 sets of armor. thanks!
I may just have to use this technique for Halloween this year.
How do you design the pieces to fit around something like a shoulder? I'm thinking of going as Vader's secret apprentice, so I'd have to make those shoulder guards he wears.
Yeah spray paint works like way better for the colour....but ummm yeah i made a mistake...DO NOT USE SPRAY PAINT FOR DISTRESSING. It will basically dry....way faster than u think and wont come off with water...even when its still wet...it sorta just streaks on it and stuff...but in the end u have something that looks like...an ink stain...so yeah... that acrylic stuff is wat you need.
Hey could you do more videos with this type of thing? I mean more armor would be great....but a mandalorian helmet would be FANTASTIC....or KOTOR mandalorian armor would be....actually there isnt a word good enough for that....
Shadow and Highlight! :) Beautiful job, it's a great example of taking $0 of cardboard and making what APPEARS to be "metal" that has actually seen action/taken a beating.
Thanks for all the support and comments everybody... : )
