  • To be quite honest with you I've seen some buget cardboard armor on TDH. and I thought they were going to look like that. I was pleasantly surprised how well it turn out. Great job

  • Very talented method! Amazing to start with cardboard and end up with what looks like a piece of scarred metal.

  • i love you ...u make me love pizza boxes..make more make more!!!!!!!!!!! another miniature!

  • sweet

  • This is a good way to have a good set of armor even if you have a low budget. I knew no other way of creating my own set of mando armor. Many told me to go through with cadboard but I had no clue how to start off. Your video showed me the way to have good functional mandalorian armor. I am going this way until money comes in so I can try for stuff that is more sturdy. Thanks for posting this up vod I really appretiate it.

  • @dannyphantomranger how did your armor come out?

  • @dannyphantomranger- HAHAHAHAHA!!!! you call cardboard "functional armor? pfft! use real steel not a domino's box and THEN will your armor be functional!

  • Kandosii, ner vod!

I LOVE it! I have cut out some templates in poster board, and am going to make a femme 'gam set. I haven't decided whether or not I want to go the cheap cardboard route, or if I wanna get trash cans and do it that way. I REALLY like the distressing! Now I know how to do it! YAY! : ) I didn't think that the cardboard would look as good either, but that is just awesome!

Ke nu jurkad sha Mando'ade, burc'ya!

    Oya!

    Mand'ika

  • Have you done a helmet?

  • wen i went to a mandolorian convention in wales thay said u could use the plasic off waste paper bins the cheep gray ones are very good thay said :)

  • my first set of armor was like this, only I used thicker cardboard, and I didn't paint it

  • i cant believe u didnt use duct tape!!!!!!!! lol jk

    nice effect 5/5

  • wow I did not expect that to look as good as it did!

  • Okay that was impressive. Have you ever done a helmet?

  • Incredible. Simple incredible.

  • very good job :D

  • I was skeptical when you started with cardboard, but in the end it turned out really cool!

    nice distressing techniques

  • :D this is awesome

  • wow awsome ty for the vid i'll def. use this for when i make my own armor

  • Distressing armour, huh...

Do you have any calm, soothing armour?

  • Lol little caesars. i work there

  • did this dude ever make the dvd?

  • Thanks

  • Awesome Vid Do you have one 4 girl armor?

  • For girl armor, I would assume that the upper armor piece that he made would just be more rounded to fit the female form

  • I've seen one set of female armor that just had several more pieces to the breastplate for mobility.

  • wow ver clever art skills,a ctually looks like a battle hardened peice of aromor

  • That actually looks like a piece of metal

  • dude thats freakin' awsome!

  • nice...but how can i maake a helm?

  • you have the same voice as Robert downy jr., the guy from iron man, anyways, i used this technique and it worked perfectly, i now own 2 sets of armor. thanks!

    -regimas

  • hahahhahaa u know who this guy sounds like ...??

VINCE VAGHN or w.e. u spell his name

  • lol, im wanna make lucky charm mando armour!

  • I may just have to use this technique for Halloween this year.

How do you design the pieces to fit around something like a shoulder? I'm thinking of going as Vader's secret apprentice, so I'd have to make those shoulder guards he wears.

  • can you do a vt on how to make and distress a helmet using the cheap way?

  • Yeah spray paint works like way better for the colour....but ummm yeah i made a mistake...DO NOT USE SPRAY PAINT FOR DISTRESSING. It will basically dry....way faster than u think and wont come off with water...even when its still wet...it sorta just streaks on it and stuff...but in the end u have something that looks like...an ink stain...so yeah... that acrylic stuff is wat you need.

  • Hey could you do more videos with this type of thing? I mean more armor would be great....but a mandalorian helmet would be FANTASTIC....or KOTOR mandalorian armor would be....actually there isnt a word good enough for that....

  • it will be awesome if u make the whole armour

    and the helmet

  • Shadow and Highlight! :) Beautiful job, it's a great example of taking $0 of cardboard and making what APPEARS to be "metal" that has actually seen action/taken a beating.

Beautiful... I wish ratings were enabled. :)

  • yea dude i thot this was a fucking joke but as i watched on i saw amazing beauty made with few colors. *tear* i uh left the oven on.
