I moved from the Hat to Toronto 3 years ago. I miss the prairies so bad! The blossoming cactus, the smell of the farms, and the people are soooo much friendlier compared to Toronto. Cost of living is much cheaper too.

it's a long story but pretty much the medicine man dropped his hat in the river. that's how it got it's name.

i spent 6 months in the Hat in 1979..loved every minute there.I lost the love of my life Maryanne Williamson...she lived in Suffield trailer park..does anyone know what happenend to her?
