  • the start sounds kinda coldplayish to think of a word! well done this sounds amazing. How do you get such a sound?

  • @Aviation94 basic rundown is mainly delay and reverb with volume swells. i appreciate the kind words!

  • Your compositions are terrific. They are on par with Hammock's work and very contemplative. Thank you for sharing them. What effects are you using in the beginning here to generate the swooping wall of sound?

  • @FlightOfIcarus01, thanks that means a lot to me. What one effect would be hard to narrow it down to as i dont turn turn any on or off once the video has started.

  • Very nice! How many delays are you using for this piece? Lo Lo

  • @tat2sbylolo, thank you i appreciate it. this one i used 3 delays

  • very pretty.

  • @donaldjasoncrunk, Appreciate it...thanks for watching!

  • Great work my friend! Awesome soundscapes and taste! I love your projects... Please, tell me this... do you think i could reach sounds like yours using my Boss GT-10? Or i have to go for the "real" pedals? Thanks in advance... keep dreaming in your music!

  • @mar11stef, you probably could i honestly have never played a GT-10 but main basic things you will need is a delay and reverb atleast. next time im in guitar center ill mess around with a GT-10 and send back some feedback of what i come up with. Thanks for watching and im glad you enjoyed them.

  • @mar11stef

if i may interject, you can absolutely do what you asked, i have the GT-10 as well and have been monkeying around with it for a while trying to find how to make swells, etc. I did run into issues when my pedal seemed to trigger to quickly, but you can adjust the attack on the pedal too, it's an amazing pedal. If you need any help, private message me and i'll give you my email.

sorry Tin, just trying to help a fellow who wants to do what you do...which is stellar

  • @ZOMBIELANDakaUSA, not at all go right ahead and if you want share it with him on here for anyone else that may come across.

  • @mynameistin

thanks, you do fantastic work, and just watching and listening to you gives me motivation.Still checking all your stuff out, but suffice to say that so far what i've heard(& seen) i can see you doing what the biggies are doing(Hammock,Sigur, etc),not trying to kiss up,you have it.I'm attempting a whole new approach to the genre, but i play an 8 string, and do alot of alternative playing, gonna try and do some cool ambient rock with the 8.you are now one of my references

  • Oops forgot my micro POG is after my PS-6

  • Hello! I just bought my micro POG so I could produce sounds as awesome as your video. I am having trouble. When I heel my volume pedal the sound cuts off completely instead of trailing off. Below is my pedal chain. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Boss TU-2 Tuner

    Ibanez Overdrive

    Boss MT-2 Metal Zone

    MXR Dyna Compressor

    Boss PS-6 Harmonist

    Ernie Ball Jr. Volume Pedal

    Tech 21 Boost D.L.A

    Line 6 DL4

    EHX Hum Debugger

  • @BristanKellerUSAF, thanks for watching and cool being in the AF based on your username(i am as well). your volume pedal placement is fine...i dont see any reverb on your board to help it continue and second any info on the settings with the DL4? are you not giving it enough repeats or the mix level to low to hear the repeats maybe?

  • @mynameistin Awesome go Air Force! Where are you based at? I don't have a reverb pedal....I am using my DL4 as a looper or a reverse delay. My tech 21 D.L.A I am using a dotted 8th delay at about 5 counts to fade out. I figured it out after reading a few forums today, but don't know if it will sound better if I buy a delay pedal. I have it on my amp (Vox ac15) but don't want to have to keep changing the reverb effect on my amp when I am not using it.

  • This is tasteful. Thanks. Got a question: the Rang v.2.0 has this function 'Stack Drone', which has to be enabled via 'Optional Behaviours' (manual page 17 I think). Do you use this on this tune? It's implemented to avoid that Millisecond gap at the start/end of the loop to make seamless drones possible. I'd like to get the Rang III in near future and would like to know if that works, or is there still any noticeble gap at the start/end point of the loop when making those smooth chords? Thanks!

  • @Zelamir, i do use that feature on about half of my videos. this particular one i do not as i actually don't loop anything in this video. that 'stack drone' feature is definitely a nice feature and does work very well. Thanks for watching!

  • @mynameistin , Thanks for answering. May I ask one more question: do I understand that feature right, that it only works when STACKING? Which means that the first loop is recorded in normal mode, i.e. with a gap at the start/end, and 'stack drone' starts to work when overdubbing (stacking) over this first loop? Or does it already work when recording the first loop. Hope you understand what I mean. Maybe I just have to get it and check it myself. Seems to be worth it. Thanks again.

  • do u have any stuff to be download or buy dude?

  • @comadreify i have been asked that lately...ill keep you informed i may just make a bandcamp site with all my youtube loops and then upload the songs one by one that i just started working on. thanks for listening!

  • any tabs? =]]]

  • @MrGuitarmadness, i don't usually write them down...i have most sort of just in my head except pedal settings are hard to remember but if you'd like i could write them down for you.

  • @mynameistin Yeap,i totally felt in love of this song))It's great, like a Black and White.

  • @mynameistin please do! These sounds are amazing.

  • nice sound man =] haha even though my stuff isnt cool as yours

  • sweet

  • Dude, I totally thought this was one of Stephen's clips when I first saw the thumbnail. You had to have done that on purpose!

    Nice track.

  • @cosmogang thanks man...stephen? i dont know many names except for yours demos and andys heh.

  • @mynameistin Dude, I don't know why I said, "Stephen" I totally meant Andy! Brain fart!

I love how you are still representing the M9. Keep it up.

  • @cosmogang, its a love relationship with the m9 but overall i see no reason to get rid of it ;) yeah i definitely enjoy watching andys videos and all his albums i wish nothing but the best for him. i got tired of my camera angles so i decided to change it around :)

  • why'd you use that combination of amps?

  • @jmdenogean was having some difficulties with micing my blues junior

  • nice track,well done!
