  • Definitely it's their best video and also they look great :)

  • Boycott everything with AutoTune in it.

  • back to 80's sounds.... first band goes retro instead makin' new shit!

  • Cool video. The song itself....er..boring. No melody.

  • Have Bought ALL ALBUMS from Human League=,listened lots;almost all of 80's dance-'muzik' and FIRST time have to Say:Phil Oakey can do much better!!: this is done with voice synths// amplifier. and very boring....:is Phil really gone into MUSIC-FACTORY;which use names, music makes no difference:)) can wait for next one-this band is still Awesome!!one of the best with D.M.+Heaven 17 and DURAN DURAN ,many more::. thanks for sharing, anyway!!

  • I love this song! Human League still has got it. Awesome video a well.

  • great production, crap song

  • @doordangle Unfortunately, I agree. It's missing a decent melody.

  • Actually even this song makes me "ARRRGGHHH !! Change Channel !"

I have to Admit this song is WAY BETTER than Rebecca Black's Friday :)

  • This is Great !

  • Definitely one of their best clips! Credo is an amazing album too.

  • @mzchannel I totally agree...Credo is awesome!

  • Truly awful! How much work has Susan had done? She can barely move her face?

  • Joanne <3 <3

  • Noo. Noo . no

  • Love the video. The gils look FAB!!!! But hate the song. Very weak!

  • Joanne hasn`t looked better! i`ve been lusting after her and susanne since god knows when. :D

And remember everyone,it`s 30 years ago this xmas Don`t You Wan`t Me was number one. :O

  • I'm the one you want

    I'm the one you need

    Never let me go

    Never let me go

  • Susanne is so pretty! Love her!

  • when did GLaDOS from Portal join Human League?

  • long life to The Human Leaugue!

  • I was also at their concert in Zagreb and they were amazing!'Never let me go' played live was even better than a studio version. This video is so interesting and the mirror effects are great. My suggestion to HL is that they cooperate with this filmmakers also in next projects.Dear Susan,Joanne and Phil good luck!

  • just saw them live in Zagreb this weekend and they were SO GOOD! DOn't miss their show if they are near you!

  • Brilliant video! Sublimely disturbing!

  • great singers, great band. beautiful women singing. thanks from alessio

  • I like this band.

  • @kingofkeyboards It sounds to me more like a traditional Vocoder than Autotune. Either way, like the rest of Credo it sounds brilliant. All bands wish they have good material like this 30+ years after they're formed.

  • @Batenrouge Agreed, I was also thinking vocoder immediately when I heard it.

  • OCTOPUS FACE :O

  • the "italo disco" remix of this song is wicked!!! and much better than thsi!

  • Just saw them at retrolicious

  • I may not sleep well tonight....

  • im hearing pet shop boys of 2011!

  • Phil Oakey to this day still sounds great

  • Re deformes !!

  • For me it's their best video.Idea with octopus is cool.I don't see it creepy in video than see it, for example ,as a symbol for problems in relationships between couples.Phil,Joanne and Susan don't need to feel shame or dishonour how they look now. They look great. Some people can't see Phil without beautiful black hair, but it's not all in headdress and perfect look, the most important is man's heart &soul and Phil and girls have it.I wish them ALL THE BEST in future.see you in Zagreb 12. 11. !!!

  • WELCOME TO BOSTON HUMAN LEAGUE -- Sept. 22, 2011 -- I WILL BE THERE!

  • Comment removed

  • blondi kann kein playback xD

  • Again....another person who was lucky enough to see this live! Excellent!

  • this was co-written and co-produced by I Monster? doesn't sound like their kind of schtick....at least not the fuzzy,blippy,analogue-style synonymous with their signature work. wish this had a bit of that. otherwise it sounds rather redundant. like HL recycling old sounds but nothing really that refreshing.

  • Having been a fan since the late 70's I can honestly say this is pretty good.

The video is avant garde and the autotune is intentional for this particular track.

It takes a listen or two but it grows on you eventually.

  • Saw this at the Hollywood bowl too.. I thought it was pretty awesome :))

  • @kingofkeyboards trust me the league was the best in the 1980's. all this new stuff is just crap and this video sucks, its really sick and disturbing, looks more like a freakshow rather than an Art project or creative video like the original human league. i miss the 80's man, this new generation is so fucked up, too many people. too much bullshit. i miss cali in the 80's when we only had 10million people

  • I'm a fan of The League since the first albums..

Sorry to say, but you can't make league records on Ableton guys!

Sounds crap to me........................................ sorry sorry.

Thin synth sound and CRAP pich correction on the vocals of the girls!

I'm off the league for now.

  • @karelpostthuis Saw them live last night and they were great, sound was perfect, very fun show!

  • Comment removed

  • @karelpostthuis ableton is not the culprit. when the song is mainstream boredeom it will be mainstream boredom on any daw... crap sound cannot ruin a good song and good sound cannot make a crap song good. basic recording fact.

  • I love this song :D I just saw these guys live earlier today.

  • Auto tune? Really? The girls' flat vaguely tunelessness was always part of the charm.

    Sigh.

  • Thank god for auto tune, everyone is in the same key now.

  • So nice when a band can sound this good after decades of making music.

  • Saw them yesterday at rewind festival! XD <3

  • i think this video is really cool...

  • The girls look fantastic. Better now than they did in the 80's.

  • Great song. Amazing voices. Creepy MV =.=

  • la mejor cancion del disco.....

  • great video-very great video

  • great band great people - awesome tune

  • Brilliant at Rewind Scone this weekend. This was the first song of their set....

  • the autotune is really fucking annoying

  • The previous H.L. album 'Secrets' I still hear asone of the (or poss the) best ever from them; I was annoyed at the predictable lack of airplay esp. since they had a truly good (no cringe) video for 'All I Ever Wanted'. I've all their albums/now CDs except this one and Romantic?

    Also..RIP Martin Rushent

  • they still on the top because they keep their 80's sounds....

  • GOOD SONG WELL DONEXXXXX

  • NO MATTER WHAT YOU PEOPLE SAY ABOUT THIS SKILLFUL, BRILLIANT BAND E.G mukaikof THINKS THE HUMAN LEAGUE NOW SUCK!!!!!! NO SIR, YOU SUCK!!! PHIL, SUSAN AND JOANNE ARE ABSOLUTE LEGENDS IN MY EYES I HAVE BEEN A HUMAN LEAGUE FAN SINCE THE SOUND OF THE CROWD AND STILL FOLLOW THEIR STUFF TODAY AND I CAN TRUTHFULLY SAY WHAT A BREATH OF FRESH AIR THESE THREE ARE AND LOOK AMAZING. ROCK ON HUMAN LEAGUE FOREVER AND YOUR ALBUM CREDO WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE. LOVE YOU ALL AND SO DO MY THREE GIRLS.

  • yeah the human league sucks now... ever since we have jokers like lady gaga and crap come out on the market..... everyone is looking for a way to produce and make music the cheap way. come on Phil bring back the 80's human league! the original and classics are the best! this new stuff really sucks.. this is your golden years phil, enjoy it and do something great and neat. dont spend your golden years in the reakshow. because this is what it looks like! im scared to death, never do this again!

  • nostalgic, current and amazing 11/10 stars love it!!!

  • This video & the song is just too freaky for me (and I don't mean in the sexual sense.). In all of their videos, Johan & Susan looked glamourous & sophisticated. Now they look so old and torn up. I know it's been 30 years and I expect them to age but I thought they'd age gracefully. The bald look doesn't suit Phil. Unless he's going through chemo, he looks better with hair. I'm not digging their (Human League) new look and sound. Sorry.

  • @vxy357 LOL you are so right, but personally i liked the 80's human league much better. they were somewhat fine in the early 90's. but i dont like this new stuff. it is freaky, i thought it was a freakshow at first. the reason why i love the league is because they have been creative always like art and fashion at the sametime and very original. i dont mind if the league still makes music, but stuff like this they should just put an end to it. and i am disappointed they used autotune.

  • Right on! There is something comforting about a new Human League single, and even cooler, the song rocks!!

  • ...very danceable that track...grand! Gonna see them live tonite, hehe ;-)

  • sensational

  • it's not just "autotune" but a vocoder

  • I consider myself a HL fan but this song kinda stinks...and not because of the autotune use...it's just weak.

  • did they use photobooth?

  • holy shit. watch this when your high.

  • @jolsenjo thanks!

  • this is pretty amazing stuff and H.L arent afraid to try something new even after 30 odd yrs.thumbs up again! i saw them live twice in 2005/2006 and had the privilege of meeting them after where they signed several cds for me--im still reeling!

  • I am from Argentina and the Aeroplane Remix Version of this song is played every single day in Metro FM !!!

  • nice video, shame about the song

  • its just hard to believe "Never let me go" can not get airplay....its good!

  • Love this song! Phil, Joanne, & Sue-Anne looking great!

  • Hey Squidward! 3:05

  • meaning what???

  • I LOVE THE HUMAN LEAGUE...THIS SHOULD OF BEEN THEIR SONG THEY PUT OUT FIRST....THEY ARE ARE AWESOME...THE USA LOVES THEM!!!

TELL ME WHEN WAS HUGE IN NEW YORK!!

  • @toddy71000 not only in new york, tell me when is huge even in peseggia

  • @jasteern its hard to believe "never let me go" is not getting airplay...its good!

  • Good song / Bad Video!

  • I love it at about 2:41 when it kicks into shape

  • first up I thought Phil had dumped his old ladies for a pair of new beauties, got annoyed. So glad they are still a proper trio, big love to you

  • 2:21 my brain farted

  • Lets not be mixing up our vocoders with our autotuners,

  • Nice song, but totally inappropriate as the theme song to the movie/novel of the same name :p

  • and this is the human league 21st century...they do look older haha

  • this is great

  • Well, I use autotune on some of my songs. I still have to sing in tune for it to even work. Autotune is NOT some magical thing that allows me to sing. It is a pitch correction program. Well done Antares, I love your software and so do many other artists, Steve

  • perfect

  • human league understands much more than another pop bands the POP concept...and then we find this lovely melody, cowirsted by the inspiring beautiful vid

....i just have to say "VIVA HUMAN LEAGUE FOREVER"

  • autotune is killing off music...slowly but surely

  • @Dreyameir I think they were going for that robotic sound to be honest...

  • This is a pretty cool example of what 80s popsters "China Crisis" called "flaunt the imperfection." Are you an aging pop star with a non-perfect face and a voice that has been criticized for its flaws? Put out a song with some autotuning--turns out, your voice was just fine without it, as proven by the fact that the autotuning sounds a lot like you always did. And release a video that highlights the amazing malleability of the human face, whether it's age that morphs it, or slick effects.

  • great track-shit video.

  • would be much better without so pitched voiced -.-

  • Fucking Autotune is the death of music.

  • LOVE this song! Anyone know when Credo will be released in the States?

  • Kids these days don't give a damn about the Human League. Those who do give a damn can't stand autotune. What were they thinking?

  • @smurfblood I am 13 and I love The Human Leagues music from late 70's and 80's

  • @smurfblood not all kids of today by the way. I practically live off 70's and 80's electronic music including the human league. we're not all justin no balls bieber lovers.

  • Was at their concert in Vicker St Dublin tonight,,,,,, they ROCK the house,, and after all these years haven't missed a beat,,,,, Electro-genius,,,, bring back the 80's

  • Was at their concert in Belfast last night - Brilliant!

  • Love the video! Love the music! Love the band! Human League forever!

  • O yeah awesome song!! cant wait till they come to los angeles :)

  • love the video and the music!!!

  • Very disconcerting - strange video indeed!

  • They're back!! I remember when they first appeared in the 80's and they were class. Great that they're doing new stuff. Hopefully a whole new generation will check out their back catalogue too.

  • Just to point out the technically unaware. Autotune is just a PC version of a treatment that goes back decades and which The Human League has been using since Travelogue in 1980. The original device is called a Harmonizer and it allowed that perfectly pitched harmony backing vocal first introduced on Travelogue but which was far more extensively used by Heaven 17 particularly on The Luxury Gap.

+ “Believe” was not the 1st song to use Autotune - it was the just the 1st to ruin a song with it.

  • The creepiest video I've ever seen, transfixing though!

  • Love the vid

  • Very alien, but cool.

  • I monster :bave:

  • This video is sooooo wierd - uncomfortable to watch!!!! Very Strange, Indeed.

Glad to hear them again, though :-).

  • Autotune: there is nothing wrong with distorting your voice; there is something wrong when you use autotune to alter your voice to make it sound like you can actually sing. The latter does not apply here. People shouldn't just jump on the bandwagon and criticise autotune without thinking about how it is used.

  • @sheamie4 Exactly! It's used creatively here. Most people don't know what they are talking about with auto-tune. The parts that sound "auto-tuned" are done that way on purpose.

  • @sheamie4

Sorry, I accidentally clicked on the "Thumb down" icon on your comment. I thought it was one of the others that were "dissing" autotune. Many apologies, Steve

  • @sheamie4 absolutely correct....human league know what they're doing when using auto tune..it's purposely done to emulate that 80's generic electronic , new wave vocal effect..and bozos who criticize them for using it obviously aren't familiar with the fact that they can actually sing without using it.. most of the morons probably think the human league are a "new" band ..lol !

  • @sheamie4 Good comment. The Human League have been making music for over 30 years now, so they've more than proven themselves. They're clearly using Autotune for vocal effects in this song, not to hide an inability to sing.

  • Great band, great song, but they f**** it up with that trendy voice effect... they don't need that crap...

  • Comment removed

  • BRAVO and the REMIX on i tunes are WONDER FULL

  • It really does sound like Client!

They really don't need to use Autotune though, it's a passing fad that will make this sound dated in a year or two.

You can't say that about Sound Of The Crowd.

But anyway, I'm really looking forward to hearing Credo. Apparently it's a fantastic album.

  • @Jarren202 Cher's song, Believe, was the first song to be auto-tuned and it was brilliant! And that song came out in 1998.

  • @y100269 Yes indeed, the first mainstream song to feature Autotune. It's so weird, I thought the fad had died around 2001 after being used by Eiffel 65 and Gigi D'Agostino yet a few years ago it began to appear on EVERY BLOODY SONG!

I know Cher's Believe was a catchy song, but for the most part Autotune reminds me of Bob Dylan's voice. That is to say, it annoys me.

  • OH MY GOD - SO GREAT !!! - CLASSIC HUMAN LEAGUE WITH A CLASSIC HUMAN LEAGUE SOUND WITH A TWIST - I LOVE IT !!! - DON'T EVER CHANGE YOUR SOUND OR DON'T EVER STOP MAKING MUSIC !!! - LOVE YOU GUY !!!

BY THE WAY - SOMEONE POSTED THEY DIDN'T LIKE THE AUTO TUNE , BUT I LOVED IT , BECAUSE I KNOW THE GIRLS CAN SING FOR REAL !!!! - SO AUTO TUNE ALL THE WAY, IT MAKES FOR A GREAT SOUND !!!

  • Reminds me of some vids that Fredrik Phox made, lol

  • UGH.....I see the Human League have been infected with the plague known as auto tune.

  • @someguy209 They are using it creatively. It's not all automatic :-)

  • @jasteern grazie :) non vedo l'ora mi arrivi il cd che ho preso in Uk :))

  • Thumbs up for The Human League, very good artists, more than 30 years active and rocks so good!!! The music amazing, totally 2010's music, this is now in my phone!!! This is my song for April 2011.

  • im glad they are back!!! love them bravissimi grande musica from Italy xxx

  • @SuperLondon67 assolutamente d'accordo con te!!

  • Their best track in years!! Oh, wait...it's been years.

  • good to see the HL back....like Duran Duran, they can still put out some good music....trippy video as well.

  • Human league, pure genius as always!

  • Can't wait to hear them live at the 19th of April in Amsterdam.

  • Los amo, son mis idolos y ya estoy ansiosa de que estén aquí en Chile. Me encantan, IDOLOS!

  • I think the use of the clinging octopus has to do with the words of the song "never let me go" . The song is about an attachment to a person--thus the attached octopus. I think it's clever. Not to mention, the HK had an album titled Octopus a while back. I wonder if the use of the octopus has any meaning with respect to this album.

  • For most of the song they have their pop genius intact...but the voice of the blond one is a bit vocodered a la Bloodshy and Avant, not sure I feel that :/

  • Simply Brilliant!

Once again Human League show us his superb quality and creative music.

Sue Sulley and his angelical voice, what we can want more?

  • I can't believe so much crap easily get into the UK Top-40, and this brilliant song failed to chart.

    so unfair!

  • Cool video, I am a great fan of Human league and here in Brazil, unfortunately, the Credo´s album don´t arrive, but some radios plays the 80´s musics of Human League, songs like "Human" and "Don´t you want me" still play in this country

The Human League has a good musics and this songs has no expiration date.

  • Sue Sulley looks like Becky in Coronation Street.

  • bring it on..........lol the chicks are still as hot as they were in the 80s

  • This is brilliant. Thank god for the Human League! What would synth dance music be without them? All 3 have still got it! They look and sound awesome> I still love the girls, so hot still!

  • great record! my favorite songs are Sky and Egomaniac though. Could other 80's new wave bands also start making magic again please?

  • I LOVE HUMAN LEAGUE!!!

  • I LOVE HUMAN LEAGUE!!!

  • Great song and video !

  • Its a Marmite song, you either love it or hate it, and I love it !!!!

  • The song's a grower...... dreadful video. It's not so much arty as ugly. I'm a huge fan so don't take it the wrong way guys!

  • @TheBeltane the movie is very symbolic. try watching it a few times and you will see.

  • Not only is this a Brilliant single from the Human League;it is probably the BEST MUSIC VIDEO The Human League have EVER done.

I would go so far to say it is already (BY FAR) one of the best British Music Video promos of the year.

I have not been able to stop playing this ,it's so amazing

  • i am very disturbed now

  • all human league videos up to this one have been badass, but this is just grotesque.
