"I was Humbert and she was Lolita"??? Brilliant record and their second #1 in a row. They made some first-rate party music, hidden away on albums and B-sides. And it still works today. Thanks, Ray Dorset and the lads, for the music and sweaty memories!
Before i found out which group brought this out , i cudda swore it was a certain person who was in Captain Beefheart...Don van Veilt , im blown away with this though i do sometimes like to be sussed out and sussed out i certainly am ...BEEP !!!! :-)
How this is'nt rated as a absolute 'CLASSIC' is be-yond me.........'She was Lady Chatterly and I was the GAME-keeper........... it just does'nt get any better than that.....rock on Mungo!!!!!!!!!
saw them live at the Top Rank Suite and they wouldnt perform BJ until we all sat cross legged on the dance floor and banged our pint pots to the beat it was awesome but the bouncers werent too impressed there was more broken glass than you could shake a stick at!! Some night though
