  • Great work

    PX

  • The Canon 30D has either 3fps (low speed continuous shooting) or 5fps (high speed continuous shooting) where do you get 0,3fps?

  • hey o, I'm wondering what I should set my iMovie HD's time lapse function to, the frame's per second, for like recording traffic, etc.

  • i love it

  • excellent work in 20minutes how many shots is that..

  • Awesome video! Thanks for making this. It was really neat!

  • Nice. Can you tell me the name of the song?

  • Its Salvation by Pacific Heights

  • This is really interesting. Just read about this little Canon gadget. I can clearly see it's a no-brainer. Gotta have one of these!

How do you do it when you shoot? Do you stick around to keep watch on the camera? I mean - shooting during night etc. to get the starfield will take huge amounts of time!

  • Most of the sequences are only around 20mins in duration, so I stick around for those. I have done a timelapse of stars, and left it outside all night, only to find it drenched in dew in the morning!

  • soo good

  • Nice.

  • Nice video!

and nice composition on the shots.

  • What software did you do the zoom/movement with?

  • The zoom is done in post in FinalCut. Thanks.

  • Hi, really great video, do you get the zoom effect in final cut or do it manually on camera?

  • I think you meant to say 3 SPF.

.3 frames per second would be like 3 seconds between each frame which this wasn't. Where .3 seconds per frame would give you about 3 frames per second which I believe this was. Nice video.

  • Its called 0.3 FPS because it is 3 seconds between each frame, not 3 frames per second.

  • I'm sorry I believe you're wrong here. Think about that. 3 seconds between each frame. That means you only see 1 frame for 3 seconds, or a total of about 20 frames. There are way more than 20 frames in this movie. It is still lovely.

  • If we're talking about the play back frame rate, then it should be called 25FPS, a frame rate most common for TV PAL, but the title refers to the rate at which the frames were taken, which was 1 frame every 3 seconds.

Thanks for your kind comments also.

  • Ah I see. It just seems awkward using it in a ratio - to say I took .3 of a frame for 1 second giving me one frame whole frame every three seconds. I guess I'm used to seeing it in playback rate.

  • Nice man, what type of remote did you use for that?

  • TC-80N3 intervalometer, thanks for your comments.

  • impresionante!!!

  • that was wonderful

  • awesome stuff!
