  • ...very helpful... but I was looking if you had the result of using this green screen on screen. Great job.

  • Great video keep up the good work.

  • If I make my own Green Screen out of neon lime green paper, Will Wax 2.0 (A green screen software) still work?

  • @Shaynaawesomebarclay as long as the paper is a flat color and not reflective to light you should be good.

  • Okay, so I am 13, and I was wondering two things.

-My sister has a lime green room would that work, its not complete neon, but I just wanna try it out until I get fabric?

    - For my B-Day I got Magix Movie Edit Pro 17 which comes with something called Heroglyph which is extra special special effects and animation and text. I don't know much about the software but if you do would that work?

  • @ZachLikesSquirrels Your sister's room may work, but regular paint tends to shine, leaving "hot spots". As for special effects, green screen would be called "chroma key". hopefully this helped, I'm 15 and new to special effects editing software to.

  • In our next video: how to hide your pot growing operation behind a cheap green screen.

  • thanks :)

  • can you use a green poster board?

  • @ydye100 yes and it will work fine! I now someone who has done it. :)

  • @nx2overide GRAMER POLICE!!!! ITS "KNOW"!!! NOT "NOW"!!!

  • @AnT11521 woops???? i dun gooffed????.. don't call the internet police on me!!!

  • @nx2overide jeez!!! i was only joking!

  • @AnT11521 hehe i was joking too! :) actually i did goof that but hey what can i say the K button doesn't like me.

  • @AnT11521 wtf?

  • @nx2overide ya dun goof'd! im calling the cyber police and the consequences will never be the same!!!

  • "this big gigantic piece of fabric that you..cant use..." hahahahaha

  • Nice job. Thanks for the tutorial and a nice day to you too.

  • I am just usin' a REALLY cheap one like 15 dollars for ALL of my LEGO videos that need it

  • Nice job. O think this will for sure help, and Also help others that have asked me what to do.Thanks!!!

  • does it matter what shade of green it is?

  • it must have taken forever to get the lighting just right, also, wtf?, where is the software that you download to get this to work?!

  • @supergenius1994 look up monkey pwns gorrilla and in the sidebar download the keygens and download vegas 7.0 in that big list of sony programs. its free if you use the keygens

  • @jslspiderman its illegal to do that

  • @supergenius1994 the police cant track you down. its illegal to spy on people through cell phones or computers so it doesnt really matter. so if they do catch you theyll get in trouble 2

  • @jslspiderman so you think that makes it ok?, it doesn't

  • @supergenius1994 well then i guess it doesnt

  • @supergenius1994 its illegal to use keygen

  • who cares

  • @ExcruciationX yeah i didnt care much or i wouldnt have it.i not paying 400+ dollars for a computer program.

  • @ExcruciationX yeah thats pretty much what i think about keygens

  • WOW...what type of camera are you using to record your videos? btw all of your videos are freaking Awesome!! keep up the good work

  • Thanks!! i have been using a Canon Vixia hf11 but im looking in to another cam soon. the canon line are very good though.

  • The green screen effect I used in my most recent video involved four slabs of construction paper, whatever overhead lighting I have in my barracks room, and a high powered rechargeable flashlight. I think it was okay for a first attempt, but I'm definitely working on ways to make it better. Which is why I went hunting for this video. I knew I remembered you doing one on this subject.

  • i used a blue bed sheet and it works as good as any green screen or blue screen

  • I was trying to do the green screen thing with this pink sheet I found... totally didn't work... I guess it kind of matches parts of my skin or something but yeah great vid!

  • Yep yep. a piece of fabric is what I use also. =) I have plans though to have a 'video room' with one green wall and one blue wall. =)

    - Heidi

  • Thanks for sharing your great tips.

  • I found the same thing you did with the fabric, just go out and buy some cheaper fabric than the "green screen" that costs $80 lol

  • that was very illuminating Winston

  • thanks for this video

  • Your so helpful man.

  • Nice use of the final cut chroma key.... and livetype templates :D

  • Very helpful! I would have not thought about the fabric having a shine to it either and your lighting diagram drawing was great!

  • nice Video vince , nicely done =)

MAybe Im gonna try it out one day-

  • can you add video to the back ground?

  • @DannysCam yep you can add any video or image to the background.

  • omg nice use of a mic stand!! how do you tell in the store the green fabric is true green?? will it say it?

  • i would like to paint porn stars green then edit out ever thing but there faces!!

  • @DannysCam all you have to do is get a green piece of fabric and make a hood.. or bag to go over the head...lol

  • @nx2overide u can get green screen paint

  • thanks for doing this one.

  • very nice, you going to do a tutorial on editing and doing the chroma key?

  • @mentalarmory I may but id have to do it on several different software as i use final cut. but a lot of software contains the chroma key function.

  • My uncle has part of the basement wall painted green. That's his cheap green-screen. Seems to work actually lol...

  • yep there is green screen paint but its expensive. i have heard of people using regular flat green.

  • Excellent tutorial for a cost effective green screen!

  • This was very infomative! Thanks for doing this! I could definitely use this info for future videos.

  • So do you know what the name of the fabric is that worked? I was thinking about felt but it looks like you tried that and it didn't work.

  • 100% cotton muslin is the best that has been shrunk. Even if it isn't muslin, make sure it is good quality 100% cotton. (for the best results) If you don't wash a high cotton content fabric, it most of the time it is see through and won't give good green screen results. What he used, I don't know.

  • thanks! now all i need is to buy choma key... how much is that?

  • miglegtr, chroma key is the technique. The software used to do it varies. Personally I use the adobe suite to do that. After Effects, Premier etc. But I have seen software out there that is cheaper that does a decent job. I don't know what Nx uses but I hope this helps.

  • ooo ok gotcha. thanks :D

  • no problem at all. nx's vid here is really good for a low budget so really take his vid to heart.

  • I love anything low budget

  • Cool tutorial.

    There's hope for me yet.

I never knew those walmart lights were so cheap, I just use yard sale lamps. lol

  • i am not going to make a green screen, but this info. was really great, specially about the lighting...u r so correct....i like how u have a remote control on your camera.
