  • Nightmare needed to kick a bit more. Sword is too slow to hit Taki when she's using combos on you constantly. The matches where he got a few kicks in to interrupt her were the ones where he won.

  • not much of a challenge considering the speed difference.

  • 3B, 3B, 3B, 3B, 3B, 3B, 3B

    "WHY DID I LOSE"

  • That Nightmare user sucks. The moves he uses are so predictable, and he doesn't follow through with the combos. When using Nightmare against a character as fast as Taki, you don't go into silly stances to try and do fancy moves. The only stance he should've been doing was the crouching one which goes into a difficult move to dodge.

  • @cruherrx he wasnt doing fancy moves in fact DTN is probably the most safe nightmare in sc2.

  • all that nightmare player was doing was one move

  • @Lazyninja510 Those moves have fast recovery time if he done any other moves, Taki would of easily countered it.

  • This was an inaccurate assessment of skill. These could not, even for their time in 2003, be among the top tier in the world.

  • taki must have just been that good. if hes suppose to be the best nightmare in the world he cant be as bad as people must think. everybody has off games his was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.

  • So was Nightmare THAT bad or was Taki THAT good?

  • holy shit it is the same floe as the mvc3 floe that became justins bitch hahahhahaha

  • look at taki and shes even more fake and cheap in sc4 along with hilde and maxi glad ive stopped

  • dan sucks all he does is hit you up then down

  • @emoneyfz Man you are SOOOOOOOOOO right. That guy was only in the top 10 players in the world. He fucking sucked so hardcore. All he did was COUNTER his opponents all the way to victory fucking lane. What a shitty player.

  • That Nightmare was ass. If he is the best player in Europe (at the time at least,) I definitely do not want to see the rest of the players.

  • @helgenx Are you serious? DTN wasn't just the best nightmare in Europe, he was the best Nightmare in the world. Name ONE player better then him.

  • @crowwinters Floe, lmao.

  • @helgenx crow meant one better nightmare player.

  • @helgenx You know I meant a better Nightmare player. You can't name one because you didn't follow the scene, and you don't know shit about SC tourney play during it's time. You probably don't know anything about SC2, period. You're in Nagasaki, Japan? Why don't you go play XCTU, he's in Japan and he's actually played Floe AND DTN before and been apart of that scene.

  • @crowwinters You went to the lengths of going to my profile to talk shit about me? Wow, you're pathetic. And no, I don't follow this game, I like it, but I don't follow it. So what's the big deal? The dude lost, and that's that. And come on, dude did the same move over and over, that's the best player? Psh, come on. I mainly play Capcom fighters if anything though as you can see in my profile... Which you probably already checked.

  • @helgenx I checked your profile to see where you were located, because I'd happily play you if you were near me. I'm sad to see that'd be a waste of time, since you're just another guy on the internet judging players from the couch instead of actually learning the game.

  • @crowwinters From the looks of it though, he is not the best player. Are you his boyfriend? Why are you still talking shit like if it is really a big deal what someone elses comment toward someone you don't even know is? We can play online as well I think, so if you can find the way, just let me know, I'll face you any time. Maybe I will pick nightmare, like the best nightmare in the world, and mash 66B all fucking day like that dude (or whatever the command was, forgot nightmare.)

  • @helgenx There is no SC2 online, sadly. You could also just play Rob (XCTU) since he's played Floe and DTN, and he's relativity close to you. He'll be happy to show you what's up, maybe even give you an idea of what made DTN so damn smart and dangerous.

Incidentally, I've played and beaten Floe in tourney. To be fair, it was SC3 and he's way better in SC2, but it's still more then your arm chair analysis years after the fact. Also, congrats on not knowing Nightmare. Super pro!

  • @crowwinters Did you win the tournament?

  • @helgenx Absolutely not. There was no chance in hell I was going to win a tournament in Chicago, espically a major. They had a real scene there (XCTU is originally from there, Silks, a commenter down below is also from there, and about 20 other real players are from there as well) and Michigan had myself and BLDave and that's about it. I was lucky to make it as far as I did. Neorussel ended up winning with Setsuka. I want to say XCTU got 2nd but I can't remember, that was years ago. 50+ peeps.

  • @crowwinters I choose SC over Tekken ANY DAY. Thing is, there's no SC players where I am at (and no machines,) and there's no SC players really in New York where I'm from. I didn't go to tournaments for any of the 3D games I played, but we always did money matches which is what makes NY's gaming scene even more grimey than it is lol. I really miss SC though, but I just hated DTN's game play style, it's basically "spam best move." Not like it can't be parried though (or can it?)

  • @helgenx Buffalo actually had a really strong SC crew, I have a few friends there. If you ever find your way back there, I am sure a couple of them can be rounded up for games. :) Anyway, there's a lot more going on in DTN's playstyle then that. For starters- 3B isn't Nightmare's best move unless you G2 it, and then you have to hit confirm on top of that to get any real damage, which means no G2. It's worth noting that even though Floe beats him here, DTN was the winner of this tournament.

  • @crowwinters Now that we got SC out of our systems, I am actually looking for any copies of 2 and 3. I'm downloading 3 right now (got the official copy in NYC though.) Shit brings back fun times back to the DC days, though I never used to meet any real-into-it players, you know. Can't wait till this shit finishes downloading, next to Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution (a little five,) this is THE best fighting game series in 3D IMO.

  • @helgenx IMO SC3 was the start of the series drastic decline, with the inclusion of ridiculous things like tech traps/bad low properties etc. The game breaking glitches didn't help either. That said, all these years later, the glitches/stupid stuff makes it hilarious. When you get done downloading, send me a PM, I'll tell you how to destroy SC3, lol.

  • @crowwinters Ugh, I'm upset. I can't get it to run on emulator (I'm resorted to that since my PS2 is back in NY.) Plus, I think it actually is quite broken, I just use Zasalamel and his ff+bb all day LMAO. I know there is a lot more with him, but that's like the best move in the game IMO. Are people still playing SC2? I have no clue where there's any events of it, but I'd love to join one if it ever happened. Hopefully virtual console gets it.

  • Floe did this to Dan in a chi tourney as well. Was jumping all his lows, and basically reading him like a book. Dan went to yoshi, but it didn't help.

  • dan the nightmare sucks...best nightmare player? bullshit...i really wanna challenge u to SC2...the best SC to this day

  • It's ps2

  • I wonder...is it on ps2 xbox or gamecube

  • DTN is beast but floe was the best Taki around back then.

  • You might not heard the G2 glitch, it is more reliable than GI-ing/parrying the opponent. Plus G2 is Nightmare's bestfriend esp. in 3B stuffs

  • nightmare was horrible

  • Isn't the match-up for Nightmare/Taki 7:3 in Taki's favor?

  • He's just the best Nightmare is the world at SC2. Scrub.

  • that's called sarcasm, whatever scrub thumbed down saitoh92

  • What a horrible match up for Nightmare. Impressive Taki.

  • 2 min of intro = 1min 40 seconds of wasting time :P! And i thought nightmare can mix up his highs and lows better than that. XD...then he would stand a much better chance.

But other than that, it was entertaining.

  • these guys still play? i remember seeing dan on mtv awhile back

  • There is another version here in Youtube but I like this version because you can also hear the audience reaction. Thanks for uploading!
