i have to say that i know for a fact that boat has not seen 90mph on gps since the new owner has had it. in the 9 years we owned it, it saw a best of 94.1 on gps lefthand 29 pitch hydromotive prop that prop was borrowed from a friend of ours. the props we had for it it saw a best of 92.3 that was dead of the winter 40 degrees out with 2 people, i would be willing to bet the new owner hasnt seen over 87mph the speedo in the boat is not a gps we have had it wrapped around to approx 106 (94 gps)
Im a water ski racer in the U.K. and we have F1 boats regularly pulling skiers at 90mph+ that looks closer to 70mph if im totally honest. To be fair though im not there
Velocity Hulls are very fast...Everything looks slower on the water,,,unless you are hittting 150 plus it all looks slow. Now being on the boat is all together different...You know you are doig 90 MPH...It's a ride.
(FYI) I own a 2008 29 Velocity SC, GPS is 78 MPH loaded all condation. I know the new owner of this boat it runs 93 on GPS in video not sure but last poker run he ran down twin 525's 39 foot boats as I was there running. Boat has a 650 HP Innovation Motor single for those who know there boats or motors you know that this is a easy to do with a Velocity hulls, Id say any boat at 29 plus ft single engine running over 85 is fast,
