  • This battle music makes LAW and NEUTRAL the most badass routes by default :3

  • I DEMAND AN EXTENSION OF THIS NO LESS THAN 10 MINUTES LONG!

...I would do it myself, but my computer's incapable of even the simplest things. But to be frank, I'm okay with just repeatyoutube'ing this. An Extended version would be nice though. <_<

  • This needs to be extended. Now.

  • Wait, shouldn't it be "Take the sword, raise the shield" . . .

I mean, it is supposed to be referencing various mythoi . . .

  • Unfortunatly Final Fantasy died when square-enix took over... FORTUNATLY Atlus, whom i consider the darkside of RPG franchise and the "shadow of squaresoft" (meaning it in the best way possible Like Dark Link) exists and fills the gap of PERFECT story telling rpg's with that spicy touch and epic music, Nobuo and Shoji are the best!

  • @Mustadio SMT is cool. I like the Persona series since they usually relate mythology.

  • And let's be honest; for today's average gamer, Final Fantasy plots just aren't that appealing. Like one of the reviewers on the back of the Nocturne case says, it's "the RPG for the GTA generation." While I do enjoy FFXII, it just doesn't come anywhere close to games like Digital Devil Saga, Nocturne, Persona, Strange Journey, and even Devil Summoner IMO. Also, the "dark side of RPGs" is definitely right. The only other series that managed to affect me as much as MegaTen did was Xenosaga.

  • @TechieRefugee

its too bad SMT and xenosaga games arent as well known as Final Fantasy :(

  • @DragonElf01 Oh well, let's let the masses gobble down the mainstream mediocrity. Megami Tensei and Xenosaga always were for the smarter people anyways.

  • @TechieRefugee Xenosaga II bored me to hell. The III is one of the best games I played though....and all the three built a fantastic story

  • @rogerrnt1990 Xenosaga II had it's dull moments, yes. There's one thing you can't deny, though. The cutscenes were freaking awesome. I mean honestly, that intro cutscene is one of the coolest I've ever seen in my 14 years of gaming.

  • @TechieRefugee It's just a shame that they didn't stick with Xenosaga I's art style...

  • The only last boss I fought where being lv 99 didn't mean shit

  • are those... sims language ???

  • Good thing I didn't fight the final boss of Law/Neutral in church. I don't think Father would be too keen on the idea of destroying a fetus... XD

  • It's a brain in a bubble, it's not like it'll be that bad.

  • @Machdude indeed?

  • If you can play super meatboy, you can play this game is all I'm saying.

  • @Machdude What do the two games have to do with each other? It's like comparing steak to ice cream.

  • It basically means that this game is nowhere near as graphic as even something as ridiculous as Super Meatboy.

  • Favorite rpg that i've played on the ds, havent bought radiant historia yet but ive also heard that it was a good game.

  • @mollydannysox someone's told you right, Combat is fast and pretty unique, but still has a level of turn-based familiarity.

  • spartans! tonight we dine in megaten! *spear throw*

Spartans fight in the shade! *shield wall*

  • The lyrics to the chorus are:

Take the shiiiiiieelllllldddd, and then you stab her with a huge-big-ass spear. Which kills her, then you

Take the shiiiiiiiieelllld, and then you stab her again with the same spear, she'd be dead.

Then you cast Jihad, then you cast Big Bang, then you use Freischuuuuuuuuutz, anything that isn't physical, is very much needed....

  • Your final battle songs can get no more epic then this.

  • @Starsoulklr Bayonetta, the Greatest Jubilee, your move.

  • I can hear a little Russian/Hebrew influence in this theme.

  • Shin Megami Tensei live action movie. Plus, given that no part of the game is truly set in stone and encourages finding YOUR own path, they could make an epic Movie Ending. Has anyone noticed that this is the Forced Boss theme yet? They EPICized the MINIBOSS THEME AND CRAFTED A GREAT BIG SHIT IN YOUR FACE that smeared the righteous words "God Is PISSED." into your forehead.

  • To bad the best part is so short!

  • I seriously love this track. It's a shame the game's overtheme didn't get played more often, or else this would have been even more influential to the tone of the final battle. Correct me if I'm wrong, but was Eternal Throne the only other occurrence of the overtheme?

  • @HatmasterM Eternal Throne, An Honor Befitting That Name, this, Scepter of Justice

  • @HatmasterM Scepter of Justice has a slower, more peaceful version of it, I believe.

  • First I heard the OST for Persona series, then for Digital Devil Saga, and now THIS?!

THAT DOES IT! Shoji Meguro is the fukken GOD of Music! He needs to be recognized for his talent to have been able to compose such a wide genre of music! And, that's just for video games! God knows what else he's capable of!

  • @H536917

Don't forget Nocturne which tells the game's story through the battle themes in the order you hear them, and has a solo section of the main battle theme that changes throughout the story.

  • @Masterblaster9001 Oh yeah, the Boss music of Nocturne. That's been my ringtone for a year now. Now excuse me while I re-listen to Nocturne.

  • This is where we hold them!

    This is where we fight!

    This is where they die!
