Y'know, what? These people are right. Fuck stuff like the MGS and DMC collection, those are basically just trying to milk even more money out of the same, tired old franchises, and many of the games in those collections have had several releases already anyway (DMC 3: SE anyone?).
AC 4 to Zero would benefit much more from a HD facelift than those games too, at least if its done properly. They could also throw in the PSP titles as well.
@Ditypo Yeah, it took me a while to get through a few of the last missions. But, I could say that out of all of the AC games, this game has the best story-line.

i have played AC series since the 1st one, always looking forward to the next one. i was upset the 6th was for LOL-box 360, and now the Steel Horizon 7th will be based on real life countries.. WTF!!.. didnt they learn anything from the fall of HAWX? almost all fighter pilot games based on real life suck. It's funny when you shoot down a wounded aircraft and you hear them yell, "AAAAHHHHHH!". I've already attained all the medals for Mercenary, Soldier and Knight. The way I look at it, it doesn't matter what your style is because you are still regarded as a mercenary throughout the game.

I'm trying to play the Legacy ACs in chronological order, so that means finishing Zero's campaign before I start 5s. I've played a few of the missions on 5 already, and while I like the atmosphere more, Zero wins out in terms of epicness.
ace combat zero raised the bar on how to make ace combat game, for at least it made me expect ace combat to have the epic story and awesome dog fights... in one word epic!!!
I have no issue with AC5 and Zero both being the best AC game. AC5 is Saving Private Ryan to AC0's Band of Brothers. One's a movie while the other is a miniseries (complete with interviews with veterans).
@nekophht I think an Ace Combat movie will surely be amazing! From my opinion, AC0 is the one that should be make into a movie. (AC5 is too long, can probably be a miniseries sequel to AC0, adding new elements not featured in the games.) I don't know, It may be just fine as a game. But the Ace Combat series is not-so wide known like that so-called future flight action game HAWX. So, should it be make into movies, it'll probably get a lot of new fans!!!
this game was awsome!! but it didn't give me chills when I played it like AC5...not to mention I didn't shed one tear when my wingman got shot down...I shed buckets of tears when Chopper went down...game was cool but couldn't beat AC5

This game was so awesome. Great story, good narrative...not a whole lot of lame anti-war rambling from your wing mates, and no god-damned 'Dance with the angels' bullshit like in 6.
@Scike Best ACs are zero and 6, the AC that's coming 2011 doesnt sound great as it will be the old story of "American heroes, Russian bad guys" And making Russian air force look way inferior to the american one when it's completely the contrary, It's sad when they copy only half of the real world.

The story of Ace Combat 6 is lame, the characters are too flat. I think ace combat 5 was the best game of the series I played , just because the story was great and really sucked you in.

the JP version has 50+ missions, superb storyline, and 5 different endings. the AC3 english version however, has 30+ missions, almost no storyline and.. it sucks (kinda)
original JP voice with english subtitles and better graphics is enough for the remake :)

I have no issue with AC5 and Zero both being the best AC game. AC5 is Saving Private Ryan to AC0's Band of Brothers. One's a movie while the other is a miniseries (complete with interviews with veterans).

@nekophht I think an Ace Combat movie will surely be amazing! From my opinion, AC0 is the one that should be make into a movie. (AC5 is too long, can probably be a miniseries sequel to AC0, adding new elements not featured in the games.) I don't know, It may be just fine as a game. But the Ace Combat series is not-so wide known like that so-called future flight action game HAWX. So, should it be make into movies, it'll probably get a lot of new fans!!!

this game was awsome!! but it didn't give me chills when I played it like AC5...not to mention I didn't shed one tear when my wingman got shot down...I shed buckets of tears when Chopper went down...game was cool but couldn't beat AC5

This game was so awesome. Great story, good narrative...not a whole lot of lame anti-war rambling from your wing mates, and no god-damned 'Dance with the angels' bullshit like in 6.

@Scike Best ACs are zero and 6, the AC that's coming 2011 doesnt sound great as it will be the old story of "American heroes, Russian bad guys" And making Russian air force look way inferior to the american one when it's completely the contrary, It's sad when they copy only half of the real world.

The story of Ace Combat 6 is lame, the characters are too flat. I think ace combat 5 was the best game of the series I played , just because the story was great and really sucked you in.

@stormdumb yes they need to remake AC3 JP version.
the JP version has 50+ missions, superb storyline, and 5 different endings. the AC3 english version however, has 30+ missions, almost no storyline and.. it sucks (kinda)
original JP voice with english subtitles and better graphics is enough for the remake :)

@itom95 but when i was little, i got the american version from my cousin, and i used to love it better than the jap version, when i played the american, it was like it was me againtist a huge army of planes, feeling a "thriller" while i play it, that makes me interested and it requests more sharp senses, but in jap version they dont shut up, they say to me every move i have to do, every missle i got to shoot, that's annoying, if u understand me...
american version FTW...

@stormdumb nope, ur lying. the JP characters only talks if you get a mission update, or when your mission ends and the JP version is more fun than the US version. also IMO the AC3 JP has the best storyline ever in the AC series.
but i play the US version too, since i dont understand japan language lol.

you're talking about AWACS' voices??....well their voices kind a same but if you listen more carefully they're different. Eugene Solano from ACX is similar with AWACS from AC4 (probably)

There is a rumor that ace combat 7 might be named skies of fury of skies of flames because in the namco they released what was paperwork or script that says skies of fury and next to it was another paper work or script named skies of flames.....
