Not as they tighten them, but over the next day or so they do hurt a bit due to some shifting that goes on, pulling, pushing. It is not a big hurt, but a little one.
I'm little worried as an adult getting brace b/c I have some what a lot of cavaty fillings and crowns. Do you have any crowns or fillings? And are braces causing any weakness on these tooth at all?
I'm glad you find this some helpful. I guess one can not help but have some anxieties prior to this, positive or negative you still are not totally sure what to expect. try not to worry too much, it will all be good,eventually... and any pain you will get will be worth it in the long run.
I find your videos very helpful and interesting. I am an adult (44 yrs. of age) who is getting ready to begin the braces journey for the 2nd time in my life. As a matter of fact, tomorrow I have a meeting with my ortho to discuss my treatment plan. Anyway, I think that it's great that you are putting these videos out there. I don't know... the orthodontist at that time led me to believe it'd be soon, but seems the 'fine tuning' is taking longer than expected.

I have no crowns, but a few fillings and there is no disturbance to them.
