Yeah, this is one of my favourite games of all time. Good going, played it as though Soki and Tenkai were really there! Onimusha and Capcom forever!!!

here is a hint try and get to lvl 100 after each lvl use the rosary and heal up its take time but trust me when i say the outcome is great i have every ulti weapon especially roberto it helps! darkness against light , Avoid excalibar for soki his dmg is cut in half

what level are you at? i just want to know how to defeat the god of light, do you have to level up to 100 or somewhere between level 75 to 100? or do you have to carry alot of medicine to help you?

Wow, I picked tenkai for the same reason. Awesome. Also, A tip if you ever fight him again, when he comes down after you deflect the star, equip a fudo horn on soki and tenkai for massive damage, then unequip it when he goes back up

It took me a while to find this Vid! I didn't remember the name of the game or characters, just that this boss was a pain in the ass to kill and took me 5 straight hours to kill! Hardest boss I ever faced Ever EVAR!

i used ohatsu and i got a good lot of health of him i tend to switch between my chartacters when im fighting the bosses to try and get the advantage but i never bothered trying to use genkai in this boss fight didnt know he was that useful o.o noooooo soki dies he was one of the best characters in onimusha

i finished killing fortinbras using durandal maxed

equiping war charm and the charm reducing op consumption by 50%

rosary of heart and fudo horn

its easy to win him by transforming to the onimusha and spamming the purification blade as once the blade goes back to the sheath you can immediately use it again.

@Lpeka2 Excalibur for Soki, Gae Bolg for Tenkai. Both from their Level 50 Dark Realm. Don't remember what level I was - this video was from early 2009!

@jephthae123 You've got to reflect his energy ball back at him (after absorbing it to make it smaller) and then break those orbs floating around the arena (the walnut looking things). That will make Fortinbras come down.

Lol no problem. I had some difficulty with this boss. I was doing the samething you did, but I died on purpose the first time because I was scanning his actions so I could be prepared next time. But still I kept dying. x3

I love how you actually play the game right. Like in real life, you wouldnt just charge and attack. You fight like they probably do fight, you wait and strike.

This boss if the easiest in this game actually. To me...the hardest one is a Genma Tree that appears in one of the castles...can't remember which castle tho. Anyways nice video...if ratings are enabled...i would give 5/5 ^^

@Myrustedgears I'd have to agree. His attacks, you can see coming from a mile away since he likes to basically announce them. Only time he can ever manage to hit me is if later in the fight, when he has like 4 or 5 of those rocks floating around, they use the laser grid like attack right as he does his little laser barrage attack, making it impossible to dodge. Even then, it's a rarity.

For me, the hardest boss is Fortinbras first firm. Like his second form, his attacks are easy to dodge, but those damn energy orbs get annoying if they surround you when you try to dodge one of his super attacks.

its funny how this battle is a toned down version of the cut scene before it. The guy in white would not even get a scratch on him in the cut scene. But because it is a video game you have to be able to hit him. The bad guy in white LETS the players (heroes) attack him and have a chance at winning. He even lets you pause and go to the restroom or fix a sandwich.

I don't know which one you mean. The normal combo is from a three hit weapon. Obviously it hits more than three times.

@azulaolimao I purposely didn't use Ohatsu (it's way to easy to be cheap). I wanted to fight him the real way, and also bring Fortinbras full circle, so it was fitting that I used Tenkai.

Best you do it with tenkai if you have 2 Fudo horns

Equip them both with fudo horn for full dmg and have both party members hit the target

If you wanna beat him quick here is a strategy you can use

1:Bring him down using his soul ball

2:Go to the item menu and equip Soki with fudo horn and use your best sword

(make sure you get a lot of damage)

3:Use oni form in the end and kill him

Advice:Dont use Purification blade

its the same fortinbras but he wasn't at full power in onimusha 1 he has his full god like powers in dawn of dreams

It's because he was sealed away by the Oni God of Darkness a long time ago, the one in oni1 were maybe a manifestation, a clone or something that he controlled remotely, but because of his sealed state, he could not put much power into that doppelgänger.

It was not untill this game that he managed to free himself and thus was finally able to use his powers to it's fullest.
