  • Sweet lick man!

  • @TylerTeeple Thanks :) It can be really handy in a solo!

  • Very nice man, I enjoyed this vid. I've been meaning to work on some tapping and trying to improve on it.

I've been playing for almost 9 years now but the hardest technique I'm having trouble with is sweep picking. Got any tips or patterns to help with that?

Great video though, I may practice on this a bit. Keep it up man!

  • @Woody34 Thanks for watching :) Great question. Sweep picking is just like any other technique. You just need to practice your butt off. PIck a few sweeping patterns that feel somewhat comfortable (tons here on youtube) and start playing them very slowly. Work up speed bit by bit and before you know, BINGO! You are shredding the sweep.

    Practice!

  • Thanks, I'll try to work on it. I think sweeps could benefit me a lot in my writing and playing since I tend to lean more towards the hard rock/metal genre. So I'll give it a shot. Thanks again!

  • Practice!!! lol

  • a very different intersting sound, what type of scale is it?

  • it looks like A major, but i could be wrong.

  • I think its C Mode 3 Phrygian.

  • @spyder4kyle Great question. Even though we are using an open E and an E at the 12th fret, the root is actually A and yes the pattern is major so A Major! Good ear!

    Practice!
