  • If an asteroid comes really close to the earth, couldn't we attach a probe to it as it passes by and use it's inertia as a free means of traveling out beyond the solar system? Maybe sort of use a net or something like a net to hook the asteroid then it could reel itself to the surface. Or make the probe match the speed and trajectory and enter a stable orbit around the asteroid?

  • 2sillytube; can I go with u! I'll get my iron man suit on, L. O. L. 

  • maybe prepare for possible future events by inhabiting the core of moon

  • Hey, that's a very old video of me at the Spacewatch 36 inch telescope about 50 seconds into this video abnd at the computer later.

  • There was a smidgoen of Michael Moore action going on there: the way they first say that the likelyhood of an impact of very small, but then they show you saying the opposite...

  • That interview was like 10 years ago, so I don't remember. :-)

  • Well done, Phil. CNN, well... may I ask for how long they interviewed you and whether there were any other interesting questions they came up with?

  • Stop watching cnn, they report horribly, and rarely know what they are talking about
