Again how is this Rogers fault. Its a rich company that wants to get richer and buying a sports franchise is always the way to go. I agree that the managment made mistakes but really what happened in Oakland made JP a wanted man and really he did some good in getting the best pitchers on the market when he could and conveincing Doc that there was a winning attitude in the franchise. Also with Rogers came sportsnet which helped sell the game bringing attendance back to its old glory.

Its normal for a company guy to buy a sports team...look all over sport and you this everywere and there alot of huge winners. Managment failing again is nothing new in sports which is way Cito was brought back as damage control and at the end of season it will be JP gone. People need to remeber that all through the bad there was good...long term deals for fan favs which if left we would be crying and talking the best pither is ball to stay long term. We have the team now we need to use it!

Under Rogers, they don't even play .500. All Rogers did was rename SKYDOME after himself. But I guess Josh thinks playing below .500 is better than winning back to back World Series in the 1990's.

Its kinda funny seeing that someone can blame Rogers for the Jays being crappy. Really all Rogers did was bring financial stability to the franchise and give us fans want we wanted. Thats a fighting chance in the AL east and that costs money. Its the managment fault from making terrible decsions messing with chemistry and we can blame that on JP who I feel has run out of time.

I've heard everyone blast JP for not doing a good job, but I guess I'm the minority who thinks he's doing a good job. Lets face it, we're in the toughest division in baseball and we've had some bad injury bugs and some guys have underperformed but still posted wining seasons in 06-07 and I think we'll finish strong this year. JP's signed some great players and managed to keep the DOC. He shouldn't have hired Gibbons though. I think with Gaston, we will see a big turn around. GO JOHNNY MAC!
