I always wondered if anyone had gotten around the region locking. I know they had the boot disk thingies, but that's tedious, and they keep becoming redundant with each update Nintendo puts out. I never tried 'em though. I had never heard of the Wii Key though. Great video!
"gotta shake the piss outta it!" LMAO, yea i hate the wii's controls, i wish with all wii games you had the option to use the GC controller not just some titles
yeah, there are a lot of homebrew available. I installed the chip myself. Its not difficult at all, only a few wires to solder in but like with anything, you just gotta take your time. At the time I modded it, the circuit pattern was simple for the wii. Now I hear that to try to make it so you can't use the wii key, newer versions of the wii have changed the circuit design, but there is a new wii key on the market to get around that.
Interesting video, I didn't realise there was so much homebrew available for the Wii. Did you buy the Wii premodded or install the chip yourself? If so was it difficult to install?
