Sounds incredibly familiar, but that's because of the Generic Chord Progression. Really nice playing you've got here. My Power Metal band has 3 guitarists also, 2 lead Harmonies and a rhythm Guitar.
It sounds like the Harmonization is done in 3rds. From a quick listen, I'd say this is in the key of C#Maj. To harmonize, one of the guitarists is playing a lead guitar harmony, and the other Lead guitarist is playing the same thing expect 3 notes higher in the scale of C#Maj.
So Just say I'm playing guitar in Standard tuning and I write a lead harmony (in the Key of Cmaj - CDEFGABC) that goes -on the G string- 5-7-9 (C-D-E) and I want to harmonize it I take those 3 notes, and play that melody again, but this time I play it 3 notes higher in the scale. Now I get 9-10-12 (E-F-G) on the same string. Now put these together and you get a harmony. It's possible to play both at the same time, just play 5-7-9 on G and 5-6-8 on the B string.
Well that could work too. By going up three notes in the scale, you are really just counting up 2 notes, it's confusing at first. you're probably doing it right. You can harmonize in 4ths, 5ths etc.
Play a note. check what note it is. Just say it's E, so you go "I have an E and I want to harmonize it" move your fingers up to the next note in the scale, and then to the next after that. It's alot easier on a piano/keyboard, so if you have one, work out your harmonies on that. :)
yeah, the guy in the back is playing one of last year's Schecter Hellraisers. It's pretty much the same as the C-1 Hellraiser besides shape and the 2 knobs (volume, tone).
