When was this recorded? It looks like Marty Friedman has a line like "Black Cat" thought up at the spot - but Jason is looking kinda lost so it appears that Marty knows the riff and the lead, but Jason doesn't. This would probably place this video somewhere late 1987 ?

First off, Jason didn't have a Paradise guitar in the 80's, Peavy which his Paradise signature guitar is modeled after. In the video both Marty and Jason are using Carvin guitars and amps as they were endorsed by while in Cacophony. Jason and Marty also used Hurricane guitars at one point. Jason, I know, had at least three for sure: the white and black one in the Fifth Caprice video , the Blue one on the cover of Perpetual Burn, and the black one used during his Highschool performance.
