This is the Hip's best song, as far as I'm concerned. Everything they've done since this EP is an attempt to match its greatness....they've come close, but have never since produced an album as crisp and tight.

I'm still waiting for a country artist to cover it - it has a definate country feel.

Something about this song that makes it my favorite song by them. Used to play it loud when I worked in NY, just down the road from the last american exit! Saw them in Syracuse 00 or 01, it was awesome.

Wow. Gord has sure changed and so have I! That's me with the spikey white hair at about the 2:30 mark. The majority of this video was filmed in Edmonton. The radio station was K97 (97.3 krock now) and the live part was filmed at a place called Dancin Shoes(which is long gone) in West Edmonton and the record store was called The Marquee(dontown Edmonton).

One of the Hip's greatest songs.  I first heard it on the radio on Q107 when i was waking up. Hadn't heard it before but I immediately felt the passion in Gordie's signing voice and knew it was a great, memorable song. Heartfelt and beautiful.

OK. Makes me think they're from upstate New York somehow. After all, Kingston is only a few miles from New York state.Funny how that band never covered any Canadian rock tunes, not even just for kicks...well,whatever.Not all that popular with them city folk on account of no lead guitar work, I s'pose.
