  • SPIDER: i thought about spiderman ....so fuck ur video!

  • you definitely did the series honor :D

  • I liked the video, and in particular the accented speech, even with the same patterns. The video was informative. I'd wish you would make more of them, for more obscure philosophers.

  • So, does she do anal?

  • :)

I really loved your vid nice job! Like alot of people here familiar with CollegeBinary, I worried if it would be good or not, but your video was good, style, and syntax similar to his, without feeling like a rip off. Personally I'd be fine if you kept doing more 3 minute philosophy videos :)

  • that's pretty cool, thanks :)

  • This is more developmental phsychology not philosophy.

  • I love this one

  • you lost me at womens rights

  • @jjunit207 Women have rights? Wait a minute, what did I miss?

  • This is pretty good...

I watch it alongside the other CollegeBinary videos, its very much on par with it quality-wise...and we finally get to honor one of the greatest philosophers who ever had two X chromosomes!

    Well done!

  • This is amazing! At last a female!

  • It's remarkable still that people don't recognize the irony of criticizing the video's producer for her gender and not her perfectly appropriate summary of philosophy. I suppose we still have quite a ways to go.

  • If you're going to plagiarise, at least give collegebinary credit for completely ripping off his format.

  • Yes! Do Ayn Rand next. :D

  • @capperann Please, nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • i dont know for sure but i think you ripped off the original series unless you convince me otherwise

  • I would love to see your projection of Ayn Rand.lol

  • 23 people are insecure males feeling threatened by intelligent women.

  • @dhepermana Or just people regardless of gender who don't appreciate plagarism you fucking feminist.

  • @posty92 First, I'm not a feminist. I'm also not a woman. Plagarism? surely you mean plagiarism? Please read the description of the video. It's good the series inspires other people. This is an instructive video about a historical character. And please refrain from insulting people in the future.

  • Needs more cowbell.

  • very nice :) please include more women philosophers. A good example would be Hespatia of Agora. Thank you

  • Me Guster!

  • Sounds like she just copied David Hume to me...

  • Who the fuck put a computer in this woman's kitchen?

  • Very good, but not enough swears as the originals :P

  • like sammosammy I came in VERY skeptical because I love collegebinary's videos and voice. Thought you did a decent job when taking into account CollegeBinary's speed, accuracy, accent and humor. Gj

  • very good, shame u only did one video

  • wtf is this video so loud?

  • *cough* ::looks around:: clap.... clap... clap... clap clap clap clap clap. Good stuff.

  • I see you're getting a lot of criticizem here, but I liked it'

  • Mary Wollstonecraft is a literary figure, not a philosopher.

  • @insidetrip101 She's a philosopher because of the way she thought about learning and the association of ideas. She became a literary figure by writing books about these findings. So yes, you are in part correct by saying that she was a literary figure, but I believe there is more to the story.

  • @DrunkWalrus

    /facepalm

No associating ideas together is EXACTLY what literary figures do. It is exactly what artists do. The best she can get is being called a literary critic, which can be said to use similar methods as philosophy. That doesn't mean that she had anything to say of any value on philosophic ground.

People like to throw the word "philosophy" around but it seems no one really knows what it means.

  • @insidetrip101 All wo/men are philosopher to me if I say so and to themselves if they say so. Not to you, understandable. Perhaps you're not a philosopher, understandable. Lover of knowledge.

  • @mrgerbeck

You know what I mean. Your definition of philosopher is meaningless. You are you really going to put Timothy McVeigh in the same category as Aristotle and Plato? Why don't you do a three minute philosophy on Gengis Kahn while you are at it.

Yes, part of what it means to be human is to be question, that doesn't mean joe shmoe is a philosopher like Socrates.

    Don't be ridiculous.

  • @insidetrip101 Talk about over exaggeration! So is this debate via straw-man or do you have some good points?

Emerson and Thoreau considered themselves philosophers and I appreciate their work. I like their philosophy. Same goes for Wollstonecraft. Or Buddha. Or Zoroaster. Or Thomas Paine. Or Alexander Pope, Shakespear, Rumi, Adam Smith, etc.

But if you have points, I'd love to entertain them. If you can do nothing but straw man or go ad hominem I kindly ask you to move along.

  • @mrgerbeck

Strawman? All I said was that if you call every man/woman a philosopher then it is meaningless to call any individual a philosopher because then it goes without saying.

I love Pope, I love Shakespear, they are smart people. However; being a smart person does not make you a philosopher in any meaningful sense of the word. All the people you mention fail in philosophy because of their weak epistemic and metaphysical justification for anything.

  • @insidetrip101 And I don't know what you mean. And I think I won't respond to you because this is not the right forum for debate. Tell you want, go read Marhall McLuren and tell me he isn't a philosopher. Anyway, I'll write a book and you can critique it. But I'm not wasting life here on Youtube, I was just trying to give you some perspective but you don't have to take it. You are right for you and that might be your philosophy. Great, enjoy your life. Peace.

  • @mrgerbeck

Oh, and btw, I really laughed irl when you said, "And I think I won't respond to you". The dramatic irony of your statement astounds me. It just shows your own lack of any philosophic perspective.

  • Nietzsche!!

Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! Nietzsche!! ...?

  • Let's try this here: Do Nietzsche!!

  • Horrendous ... a cheap imitation. Plus the subject you chose isn't even a serious or influential philosopher (if a philosopher at all). I'm sorry but leave the Three Minute Philosophy videos to the creative genius who CREATED them and come up with your own niche.

  • woman art good at this

  • I loved it! Great Job!!!! Looking forward to more even!!! Although the idea is not original as CollegeBinary I think you've done great and are worthy of and deserve applaud. Because come on... There is no such thing as "original." Every new thing is a combination of things that are already present. Great job once again :)

  • And steal it poorly I might add

  • Shit, the conception of Love of that woman is so fucking genious!

  • dinosoccer4hope, you're a pathetic waste of life..

  • Wow. Steal it a bit harder

  • Nice video, now go make me a sandwich sweetie...

  • That was pretty cool gotta admit. If it was crappy i'd get mad for immitating collegebinary, but since it was well done, I clap. *clap clap clap*

  • how about some originality?

  • Dumb whore, is that why you couldn't think of your own theme?

  • Skank.

  • Decent homage. I came into it very skeptical too. Aside from lacking the clearness and sharpness of CollegeBinary's voice, you did an excellent job.

  • Very well done! I greatly enjoyed this one! =)

  • Good stuff; I like the more in depth nature of this. Plus it's not about a dead white European guy, which is a bonus.

How about one on Uma Narayan next?

  • Good job! I am a big fan of Three Minute Philosophy and I feel you did it justice in your homage!

  • Well put.

  • Good job!

  • You have to have a British accent and speak really fast to make it funnier!

    Dammit women! Train harder!

  • @TheMisterKibe though the guys accent is actually Australian and this girl does have a British accent... so your wrong on that account ... if you dont belive me, well tough, but no British speaking person would pronounce Kant that way, and neither would any German for that matter. ergo hes Australian.

  • @TheMisterKibe s. peter davis is australian, not british.

  • @TheMisterKibe That guy isn't british, he's australian.

  • who the hell is this !

  • This great, none of the other three minute philosophies touched up on teh wimmins issues nor the philosophers with vaginas

  • I think the male narrator should cover all the three minute philosophies, including this one.... this one seemed to stray to much on the example and is not as in depth and well put out as the other episodes.

  • @azagirl444 um no, screw that. anyone with a well researched narration on an influential figure should absolutely spread their knowledge through video, preferably in 3 minutes or under. DinosSoccer, i appreciate your effort.
