Not quite the same body style. They're going the route of Ford with the half tons and the Super Duties to distinguish them. The new 2010 HD's will have a lot of updates as well. It's been spied as well.
That was due to aero work. This truck is marketed to the every day user (the typical truck buy these days). People who buy trucks for family use and some grunt work but not putting it into a construction site. The revised 2500 and 3500's for 2010/11 will be hitting hard for people who need oomph. Those supposedly will have different styling than the 1500 (similar to how Ford has different styles for the F150 and the Super Duty), updated frames, engines, cabs, interiors, and suspensions.
The new Dodge Ram interior is very nice...but, not as nice as, the new Ford F150. The Dodge whens in the HP. segment, though..., for now! That's until, the new Ford Hurricane 6.2, 400hp.+ engine comes out!
Not happening. The "Hurricane" (Now actually called "BOSS") has been confirmed it will not appear in the 2009 F150 due to an incredibly lower demand for half ton trucks. If the engine does go into production (again, it might or might not happen due to Ford's financial situation and the economy currenty), it will appear in the F250 Super Duty and F350 Super Duty commercial liners.
I've heard, Ford's financial situation's been ok since, they dropped LandRover and, Jaguar. That's the reason why, the design and, the quality of their vehicles are gett'n much, much better!(Not that, it wasn't good before). I've read in C&D that, Ford still going to bring the "Boss" out...but, it's just going to be in the trucks and MAYBE, the Mustangs.
Then the BOSS will probably be in the F250 Super Duty and F350 Fleet trucks. But that will be a good match for those trucks. The updated 5.4 is still pathetic for a 3/4 ton truck, and arguably even an half ton of only 310HP and 375lb tq. Get with the program Ford, you need grunt. But there's no reason to have a 425HP engine in a half ton to be honest. That's a bit much considering the typical 1/2 ton truck buyer hardly ever uses the damn thing for it's intended purpose.
Well..., as far as, a 310hp. naturally aspired V8 engine being the top choice for Ford engines, compared to the competition..., that is kind of a "let down" from Ford...but, when they bring that new "Boss" engine out..., the 5.4 is going to be the lower choice V8 engine for the trucks. Now..., if you want to compare those two optional V8 engines, from Ford to, it's competitor's optional V8 engines..., that pretty darn good! ;-)
Yeah..., I've read that before but, i don't believe that would be the only engine option for the Mustang! That fine automobile has waaaaay too much of a strong history for it not to have a V8 option.
eh It kind of looks like the 2002 Dodge ram and the new 2009 F-150 looks the new '09 F-150 looks like the 2008 Explore, I like the 2009 Ram, & I am a Ford man
Dodge has always been the best in trucks. Ford sells more because ford builds and sells cheap trucks but you get what you pay for
