The game isn't scripted, which means, anything can happen during a given time. Example: Your in the woods and the AI is in a house. You play the mission again, and they may not be there this time.

i have the german 1.00 pirate version (will buy it as soon as it gets release in PL) and i havent encountered not a single bug, the graphics is great, AI is great, takes cover, uses suppressing fire, is aggresive, hell they even run away when they are in a shit situation!! Try placing a group of armed farmers vs. a motorized infantry squad. So the people who say arma 2 is weak/dissapointing are just idiots

That stupid double-zooming feature always ruined the otherwise great realism factor for me, well that and the robotic sounding communications.

When I look down my scope, I should only have whatever visual that scope gives me, and not that lame bionic eye effect!

you dont have to hold down right mouse button, just click it and you will get the scope without the zoom effect.

Well the zoom is not necessarily a bad thing. First, you don't have to use it, but also, in real life when you aim at someone, you are not staring at a pixely screen. It isn't the same so they put the zoom in to make it easier to see far off things that may look pixelated.

yes, in real life you can focus on a small part of what you see (tunnel vision)

You can't do that on a screen because the only thingyou see then are a bunch of pixels like you said. So the zoom thing is a nice alternative

Yes but that is because on CoD if you play on veteran the AI always knows where you are and they only focus on shooting you. If you are not there they will kill your allies but as soon as you show up they all shoot at you, and yes, I have CoD. 2,3,4, and world at war.

Its released in Germany and available for German digital download...there are a couple of english patches about, but most of them arent complete (english language etc). Its released in the UK on the 19th :)
