ive got a 2007 r1... but i feel like that 2011 is making my bike older. i em kinda jealous with mah friends ducati 1198, 2 of my ride mates just got a ducati 1198 this month.. i kinda feel like my trusty r1 is outdated. but i do have the skills to keep up with the 1198 its just that i feel like my baby is outdated.
this bike keeps me awake at night, this presenter puts me to sleep. and nobody wants to see ride fotage sped up, it's not arty and cool, it takes away.
The Yamaha R1, aka the ball buster. what a waste of precious metal. Yamaha should stick to making quads. That's the only thing that they're not the absolute worst at, though they do suck.
gixxers? hahahaha gixxers are about the ugliest bikes u can get especially the front end the one headlight system gixxer comes in dead last when it comes to looks
none of u boneheads could handle a 600cc let alone an R1 you would be sh%tting bricks trying to ride a liter bike the way it should be ridden and i don't mean riding on the street in a straight line like 98% of the posers do. one glitch on the throttle doesn't mean all the bikes are like that u bonehead i have an 07 R1 it would dust anything that is stock on the street
I love the tubes that lift but I don't know if it matters that much. They all do almost the same in the quarter within 2 tenths of a second. The Gixxer 1000 though has a good 11 extra hp. 176 compared to the others 165hp.

i havent ridden the 07 model and im sure its better then the 04-06 models but i rekon the older model still looks better.

The 07 R1 Glitch is an easy fix if you have that issue. Just get the ECU swapped out and PRESTO! Problem solved.

Nice lookin bike. I prefer the gixxer - only because Yamaha lied so bad about the RPM redline in 2006.

And the suzuki didn't lie with its claimed dry wait of 366? when it really weighed 415 dry? (only 7lbs lighter then the "heavywieght" CBR1000)
