  • the roomba for your lawn

  • some day this will be a way of life lol

  • I doubt it can handle the load of tall grass so I guess you will have that buzzing everyday.

  • Thats cool. It has a mind of it's own. How does it work?

  • @Busdude97 they are very primitive. they pick a random direction and then continue on that until they hit something or they get to the perimeter wire and then they pick a new random direction. as a computer scientist specialized in AI it's rather unimpressive. I've considered offering my services to make a far better system but I expect them to be stupid enough to say no. in fairness it will take some cash to develop but once done it will be cheap to make and so much better.

  • @DanFrederiksen Oh. I see. What does AL stand for?

  • @Busdude97 a.i. artificial intelligence

  • @DanFrederiksen Oh. I see.

  • @DanFrederiksen I agree with you. I'm always hesistant to invest in these robot devices until they have some sort of intelligent mapping. I wonder how good the robotic vacuum cleaners are nowadays. Although it is primitive, as long as it can cover all the lawn by the time it grows back it doesn't matter if it's autonomous. I wonder what sort of maintenance costs are involved in these automowers, without having to spend hundreds on special 'Husqvarna Automower Blades' etc.

  • looks more of a vacuum then a lawnmower

  • its a roomba but with grass... brilliant

  • The latest model dont cut your little feet of

see on youtube: accu robot maaier oosterwolde

  • wow...what if it ran over tht kids foot...does it have a safty mechanism, to reverse, because by the time that senser thing hits the kids ankle it already chopped off his toes

  • No problem on my lawn, its hidden. But the mower has a alarm if lifted and need a pin-code to stop the alarm.

  • dose it work on hills

  • Depend on how steep. Not sure how steep it kan take think its 20 degree. You have to ask your dealer. My new Ambrogio can take 30 degree.

  • I got one of these last spring. When its set up right and the garden slightly modified to suit - it works very well. The effect looks like the grass has stopped growing.

  • I is mowing, but it runs for about an hour everyday so the grass is always short.

Yes it move randomly, but in time it does cover the lawn.

  • i can't see how grass being cut. To me it just moving around and that's it.

    It appears to move randomly.

  • Strange toilet you goet ;-)

  • LOL! a moving toilet lid~!

  • is that a husquavarna?

  • A brand. Now marked as electrolux.

  • i love how it smashes into shit. very cool

  • LOL very well said.

  • Does the lawn look good afterwards. I am not talking about professional landscaping but like... decent looking, no missed spots.

  • what happens when it goes out onto the road lol

  • It dosn't. A cabel in the ground limit its movement.

  • Yes I would actualy say it look more like "pro landscaping" than "decent looking".

But you need to time the daily run time to groth rate.

  • it would make a nice scateboard because it would stop before you hit a tree

  • awesome how much?????

  • 18 000 sek

  • We have one as well. Och jag älskar den!=)

  • and this covers the whole lawn and not just the edges?

    cool.

  • Yes. It bounces random around but somehow it cover the intire lawn. We never user other mower and the lawn always look like it was just mowed.

  • - And it almost mow without a sound. You can sit in a chair in the garden relaxing with a beer while it silently mow right beside you.

  • so does it run on a rechargeable battery?

  • Yes, and return to and start from the charger automatic. Start and stop on user defined hours.

  • - So if you dont have a lot of crap on your lawn, it runs with zero maintance for weeks. All you have to do is check/change the knifes from time to time (can last a season if they dont hit rocks and other hard stuff) and adjust the running hours to match the growth.

  • When the grass grow faster after rain you have to add running hours to cover the lawn.

Our run for approx. one hour a day. But when the grass grow fast it might need to run 3-4 hours a day. first in spring and late fall we sometime turn it off for some days. Electric usage is like 20$ a year. (with probably high danish electric pricing).

  • you have the coolest lawnmower ever my friend.

  • wow nice. where u get it and how much?

  • In denmark 5 years ago. 3000$

  • Cant post url for some reason.

  • automover com

  • with a dot

  • Its not mowing?

  • I is mowing, but it run for about an hour everyday so the grass is always short.

  • HAH den krockar ju :D
