@SingleBreath Here in Tampa Bay, Florida the Goliath Groupers are plentiful! Some of the best fishing spots are ruined cause everything you try to bring up get engulfed!

this is an awesome video... I was an avid spearfisher back inmy home country of Belize... and we used to see jewfish every now and then... but I can remember as a kid (before they were endangered) when my dad and uncle used to bring in MONSTROUS sized jewfish. It was always a thrill for me to stand next to one that was almost twice my height.

If you ever speared a grouper, even a small one you would not say that. Spearing a Giant grouper would be one hell of a challenge, if you don't stone it then you are in BIG BIG trouble. Those things are like trains, they don't stop for anyone or anything. Why do you think it would be no challenge?

i bet a 40lb fish could pull u under thoes things can get up to 800lbs soo take an 800pound ball put it on a small slope and see if you can pull it up to the top.. thats about the feeling youd get if you tried tospear one fish can pull in some spurts 3x their weight so if the fish weight 400lbs it could pull with the force of 1200 u do the math
